In a world where every penny counts, savvy shoppers know that Sam’s Club is a treasure trove of savings waiting to be discovered. With its reputation for offering quality products in bulk, this membership-based warehouse club is a haven for those looking to stretch their dollars further. Our family has not ever had a membership to Sam’s Club in the past for a few reasons. First, there isn’t a Sam’s Club in the town that we live in. Second, I have never felt like I could justify the membership fee! But, this month I got a promotion that allowed me to get a membership for WAY under what it usua ..read more

I feel like a lot of the times in a busy families life, you just need to get meals on the table and overthinking is not an option! When I get into a place like this (like I have been as we’ve sold out house, and been renovating a new one over the summer!) I like to stick to the basics. For me, the basics are ground beef, chicken, and rice. Those are ingredients that I always have on hand, and I can turn them into about 100 different dinners on the fly! If I know that I am going to be cooking as simply as possible, I can buy those ingredients in bulk, which saves a ton of money right from the ..read more

I was walking through Walmart a few days ago when I needed to buy some diapers, and I saw they had put a ton of items on clearance. Of course, I headed over to the grocery section to see if there were any meat items on clearance. Pro-tip: Most stores clearance out items on the same day. So, if you see a lot of yellow stickers, check the meat section to see if there are some great deals to stock your freezer with! What do you know, they had some meat on clearance! The best deal I could find was the organic boneless skinless chicken thighs for 75% off!!! It made it even cheaper than the store b ..read more

I went to Kroger this week to pick up my groceries because they sent me a $10 off of $75 coupon. Using that along with specials and sales makes prices just a little bit lower than Walmart. I’ve really been working hard this week to use food that we already have to save on our grocery bill! It has totally worked and next week I’ll post about my total spent for the month in my January monthly summary. Saving in small ways really does add up in the grand scheme of thing! January 21-31 Grocery Haul Quick Oats: $3.99 Ground Beef: $6.49 Bacon: $14.99 Milk: $4.79 Raisins: $8.49 Orange Juice: $3.99 ..read more

The Easy Way That I Buy Eggs in 2023 Without Spending A TON

Have you seen the price of eggs lately? Yes, of course you have! They’re SO high. I remember in July when I couldn’t believe that I had just bought 18 eggs for almost $5. Now, that same package is $7.30! Craziness!! We are absolutely getting baby chicks this spring and planning on raising our own eggs after that, but until I have a backyard full of laying hens, I knew there had to be a better way than emptying out my pockets at the grocery every time I needed some eggs! Also good news, I’m not planning on telling you to go raise your own chickens to get eggs either, although I do think that’s ..read more

It’s always been important to me to feed my family healthy and foods made from scratch. This year, we are taking it a little bit further and trying to only have whole based non-processed foods for dinners. I’m excited! This isn’t a huge change for our family, but it does cut out a few meals that we’re a little bit used to having. We also got an air fryer for Christmas and so that has been a fun adventure to learn how to create yummy meals with a new kitchen tool!
