Hello all coming up to retire from the Military In a couple years and decided to persue my dream of building a kit car. Though I have a lot of experience with building and repairing as my hobby i.e; RC, CAD 3D printingand drsign... I have zero when it comes to cars. Am I in over my head here? I notice factory5 has a 3 day build course is this worth while? Who has tackled this build without a full on professional garage with a lift? Is a simple 2 car garage feasible? Looking to get into a hot rod, not sure if I’m better buying a 30’s car or build a FFR truck. Doesn’t seem to be to hard open engine and keep it carbureted for ease of electrical (I’m a electrician by trade) and consider myself good with my hands. I restore/build/complete a car every 3 yrears. I have been looking a kitcar for my next project Why does factory Five still hype the GTM? They have had this notice on their site for years. "Note: The GTM is not currently in production, and we are not taking more orders at this time" Same as the 818. Were the kits just that bad or poorly engineered? While F5 has a great reputation, marketing a company using products you no longer make is pretty bad........ Hi guys, I plan on pulling the trigger on a kit over the next year or two. I am trying to come up with a rough budget and list parts for the build.
