Before joining our Intensive Immersion Program, Justin Hull (Detroit Cohort 1 Hidden Genius Alum) considered himself to be antisocial and often struggled to stay motivated to achieve his goals. On Sunday, February 25, The Hidden Genius Project participated in the 7th Annual Black Joy Parade in Downtown Oakland. Throughout the day, we hosted activations at our national headquarters building in our Alumni Center (located on the ground floor) and Ubuntu Center (a Best Buy Teen Tech Center on the 2nd Floor) for young people and community members from across the Bay Area. Our Genius Founders have completed the Technology Phase in our Alumni Venture Seed Fund. This phase provided our young founders with the opportunity to learn how to pick their technology stack and source developers. In addition, our Geniuses were trained on how to monitor, report, and track bugs on technical projects.
