The Vancouver Canucks made a big splash on January 31st, ahead of the trade deadline landing Elias Lindholm. They sent Andrei Kuzmenko, their 2024 first-round pick, a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick, and two prospects to the Calgary Flames for Lindholm. The trade meant one thing: The Canucks were going all in and were serious about going on a deep run. He was just what they needed. Furthermore, he’s a player that can help out on offence, defence, and the penalty kill. It made sense why Vancouver got him. Fast-forward over three months later: The Canucks are in the second round of the 2024 ..read more

In the biggest news of the day, the aftermath of an end of game scrum, Nikita Zadorov and Carson Soucy received their discipline. Soucy and Connor McDavid were engaged with one another when Zadorov came in hit McDavid with a cross-check. The cross-check knocked the unexpecting McDavid off-balance, right in-line with a Carson Soucy cross-check, that would have otherwise been in the chest. Instead it appears to catch McDavid near the head or neck area. As a note, McDavid did appear fine afterward, but the message was sent. Look for the Edmonton Oilers to play with a little extra fire come Tuesd ..read more

The Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers series is living up to the hype. Imperfect teams with high-end brilliance and just enough flaws to ensure no lead is safe. And after a lively Game 3, nowhere on the ice is safe either. The Canucks & Oilers Series: Speed Against Solidity In our series preview, we mentioned the first thing anyone seeing the Oilers thinks: These Guys Are Fast. And they are, posing a threat on any play where they can see the goal. But more dangerous than that, they are quick. It’s why Edmonton’s power play is so deadly. Special teams were a one-sided affair in the Oil ..read more

The Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers second round 2024 NHL Stanley Cup playoff series has a lot of storylines. For starters, it is an all-Canadian matchup and the first between these two teams since 1992. Can Arturs Silovs continue his strong play until Thatcher Demko gets back? Will the Canucks be able to handle Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Zach Hyman, and the deadly Oilers offence and power play? Can Elias Pettersson get going offensively? But a big storyline and one we are going to focus on is that the Canucks are underdogs heading into the series ..read more
