Imagine being the confident, optimistic, and secure person you know is buried somewhere deep inside of you. The Power Of Healing By Jayne Warrilow We’re all dealing with trauma right now in one way or another given the state of our world right now… and as I write these words my mother’s voice enters my thoughts “We’re in a right state!”, and she doesn’t mean a good state she means everything is feeling messy and chaotic. Yes we are. According to experts, there are two distinct ways we deal with trauma, under-responding or over-responding which is why some of us hibernated during lockdown, while others went into overdrive.  As soon as the crisis hit earlier this year, I forgot about balance in ..read more

Ask The Coach with Claudia Lindby Question:  I am currently working with a team in a large corporation to help them communicate better and improve their performance but it’s not easy. They are in the midst of a harsh working environment and a senior team that expects them to meet unrealistic performance goals. The team themselves were responding well to the training and coaching but now everyone is working from home, they are beginning to share their concerns about how nothing will change once they’re back at their desks. Even worse I can see what they mean. What should I do? - Name supp ..read more

Becoming Human By Jayne Warrilow I’ve been giving some thought recently to becoming human, and what it means to me. It’s an interesting notion and one that keeps rearing its head in these interesting times that we all living through.  I find myself having conversations with leaders and coaches, amongst others, where we agree that this global pause moment the world is experiencing right now, is a great time for reflection, an inflection point for change. Both leaders and coaches talk often about bringing the humanity back into business, but what does that really mean?   It’s true to ..read more

What Would Love Do? By Star Ladin I have always been fascinated with virtues and non-virtues. Intuitively, I sense that for every virtuous character trait, there is an opposing non-virtue, a shadow side that we all experience when triggered by someone or something reminding us of a past trauma. For instance, compassion has as its shadows; selfishness and indifference. Forgiveness is the antidote to spitefulness, self-loathing and so on. I wanted tools that would pause the pain long enough to transform it into something valuable.  I kept coming back to the word love.  Those four ..read more

The Greatest Problems We Have Ever Faced By Jayne Warrilow We all have times when life brings us to our knees, and if we’re lucky we learn what we are truly capable of, you know what they say “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. And never in the history of humankind have we ever faced the seemingly insurmountable, global problems that we face today. The whole of humanity is being called to come together and co-create solutions to COVID-19. Scientists, doctors, and governments are working collaboratively to create a vaccination, more accessible testing and ways to better treat the infe ..read more

Ask The Coach with Karen Morrissey Question:  When I lost my partner four years ago, a friend was very supportive. We began an intense relationship, even though he was living with someone else. He said they were just good friends, and that he couldn’t leave her, then later he told me if I wait two years things would be different as his mortgage would be paid off. We’re now in quarantine and I haven’t seen him for 2 months. I am realizing everything is on his terms. In the last four years I’ve also lost my mom and another good friend which made me feel as though I needed him. I’ve now giv ..read more

Raise Your Frequency By Jayne Warrilow Because you are a human being living on the physical planes of existence, your spiritual energy is vulnerable to everything and everyone around you. A good way to increase your frequency is to notice and be sensitive to it in other people as well as yourself.  Consider the person who is always positive, looking for that silver lining when things are falling apart around them.  Or think about the person who is always offering a hand, who teaches others by helping them to understand themselves better.  They do this naturally, it isn’t force ..read more

Leading From The Heart by Laurie Benson What do you think when you hear that phrase? Maybe leading with compassion, trusting your deeper knowing or intuition, leading in a way that aligns with your values. Whatever comes to mind for you is undoubtedly exactly right. And also most likely incredibly complicated.  What does it mean to lead from the heart in our current business environment? How has this global pandemic changed what a few months ago represented business do’s and dont’s? And even if you intellectually know what it means for you to lead from the heart, how do you put this i ..read more
