c: missearth on instagram Hunyah Irfan, Canada In 2022, I began my pageant career by participating in many different pageants - at the national and international level, and online. It’s great because I feel I have made a lot of progress for myself. At the end of 2022, I found a new type of virtual pageant: green virtual earth pageants. What many people don’t know is that, between 2020 to 2022, Miss Earth held two virtual pageants and one hybrid pageant. These are the Miss Earth and Miss Teen Earth pageants. I earned the title of Miss Tourism Pageant’s Miss Beauty of Earth for 2023. My platfor ..read more

Around 5:30 p.m., we arrived in three buses at Camp Echo Lake in Warrensburg in Upstate New York, located less than a three-hour drive from Canada. Energy was high as the buses were unloaded and Campers saw multiple tables of the Camp 2030 Team waiting to greet them with wide grins and welcome tote bags in hand that included a T-shirt, notebook, water bottle and other good ..read more

UNITE 2030 to launch 3-year stakeholder engagement strategy this September

Since UNITE 2030’s founding in 2016, we have worked to create a space for young leaders to take action for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. However, we know that solving critical challenges is too big of a role for any one stakeholder to handle. All players must come together for new ways to share knowledge, co-create solutions, and build community for the greater good. Youth play a unique role in championing, informing, designing, implementing, testing and evaluating solutions or prototypes for local and global problems. But without the support of expert stakeholders and com ..read more

There’s a big disconnection in climate among different generations. If there wasn’t any, we wouldn’t be in a crisis like this right now. We, the younger generations, are trying to fix the situation that the older generations created. Most of the decision-makers of today are thinking and working from outdated past ideas of limitless economic growth and the fact that very few climate policies have been implemented by governments, despite millions of youth climate activists demanding climate justice, proves that there is a big disconnect between generations.  Older generations put profit ov ..read more

Imagine living in a community that exists as socially, culturally, economically, and ecologically sustainable as possible. This is exactly what an ecovillage is!
