One of my doctors informed me today that this drug has been recently approved by NICE and is going to try me on it for my sleep issues. He said it will help when I feel too wired to get to sleep.

Acupuncture Is Theatrical Placebo
I've just now found this 2013 article about the acupuncture after a skeptic doctor posted a link to it on her blog. I searched S4ME to see if anyone had posted it previously but nothing came up. So here it is...

A vibrating diet pill may trick the stomach into feeling full
Abstract
Effective therapies for obesity require invasive surgical and endoscopic interventions or high patient adherence, making it challenging for patients with obesity to effectively manage their disease. Gastric mechanoreceptors sense distension of the stomach and perform volume-dependent vagal signaling to initiate the gastric phase and influence satiety.
In this study, we developed a...

What is pressure therapy?
Pressure therapy is a type of lymphatic drainage that uses air pressure to massage the body. A special suit is inflated with air, which creates a gentle pressure that helps to move lymph fluid through the lymphatic system. Pressure therapy is often used in conjunction with manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) to improve the effectiveness of the treatment.

Study Description

The main questions it aims to answer are: (1) Does repeated immunoadsorption relieve fatigue and/or other symptoms associated with CSF and PACS-CSF? (2) Is repeated immunoadsorption safe and tolerable in this patient population? What are the...

I have lost a lot of flexibility over the years from osteoarthritis and various injuries. I love this 10-minute standing qigong routine on youtube. Qigong is slow and flowing and doesn't aggravate my existing pain.
After doing this qigong for a couple of weeks, I'm more flexible and have increased range of motion. I think it has also enabled me to resume swimming.
It used to be that swimming, no matter how slow and easy, would give me pain afterwards for days. Now I can tolerate it much...

Apologies for this tangential post but I didn't want to start a new thread for this and it is relevant here.
There is an article on pain management that is suggesting there will be non-opioid targeted pain relievers in the near future due to some research work in the US.
