We recently ran a blog about the record sale of PSA 10 O-Pee-Chee and PSA 10 Topps 1979 #18 Wayne Gretzky rookie cards that sold for over $1,700,000.00 and we answered dozens and dozens of inquiries from collectors that had cards and wanted to know if they won the jackpot.  Alas, most cards were in average condition and still had great value, but would not be paving the way to Easy Street.
