Google search:
directions without google maps or an app
Results:
Traditional way, maps, compass, landmarks, ask somebody for directions
Online, without installing an app, you might not easily find word directions like in the old days (early 2000s?).
A form of indoctrination, it feels to me, that we are forced to give over simple tasks to an app. I know apps can make life easier. What bothers me is the elimination of choice.
If I want to read word directions online, then I have to install an app. Frustrated because without an app, I can see the road map, I installed an app. There ..read more

Secondary Leaves
Secondary leaves showing on seedlings the first day of Spring is such a delight, if I had one knee transplant, then I’d dance with joy.
Alas, celebration activity changes with age. Two cannoli is good as a waltz for me. I smile.
What’s going on :
My order for bug spray and anti-itch cream has arrived. The sun is shinning bright without much competition from clouds. Puttering this Saturday will be my exercise.
A new on-going is the challenge to see how long I can keep the dinning table cleared. I notice the rocking chair close by is piling up like plowed r ..read more

A Garden Path
Oh the woes!
Based on my recent experiences:
Changing a phone number is a major hassle upon hassle. The experience will make you question whether there is a new stupid you haven’t heard about.
Logging into a website that requires a code be sent via text that has no email a code option is not unusual.
You can call support to have a live person update your contact information. Careful though, because the Call option might be to receive a call on the old phone number. (Yes, I sat here waiting for a number to call to show up. It didn’t.)
One website, I tried 3 t ..read more

2024 Dandelion
On the look out for the first dandelion to blossom this spring, I’ve seen tulips breaking ground.
The blue and white bits are from the planter that was over them through the winter. This time of year it isn’t easy to not get out there and clear out the flower beds. I know we can still have hard frosts. I put dry grass over them sometimes ..read more

Methinks the faux bouquet and blue glass vase is a nice for a painting. With more bare branch trees in the background, a winter to spring contrast can flourish.
Fabric flowers are a nice cheer up. I was raised with the beauty of wildflowers, weeds and gardening. A Nature connection is a beautiful experience to share.
Sunday was an interesting day out in Nature. The wind was howling! It was Very windy with strong wind gusts.
During the day I kept seeing something in the corner of my eye. I figured it is a bird flying by. I would also hear something moving on the deck. When I checked, nothing ..read more

Lunar Eclipse March 14, 2025
The lunar eclipse was nice to see. Awaken by my alarm, I was out the door taking photos right as it was nearly full on. Even using a tripod, and using a few settings, none of the pictures I took are good. The above photo, taken of the camera screen, is one on the two best. All that, and I forgot to make a wish.
About the gender issues: Seriously, there is no excuse or good reason to place a person deliberately in very grave danger when it is possible and human to keep them protected. Transgenders in jail are being forced into men and women prisons u ..read more

Sweeping March Shadows
On lazy days, I grab the broom instead of the vacuum. When it is sunny, every little bit on the floor shows up to make sweeping a must.
Growing up, we used a dry mop nearly every day. What fun shaking out the dust on a windy day. Now there are sweepers you can attach a cleaning sheet to. Comparing the mop with a sweeper system, the mop is the better buy. The sweeper has more plastic and chemical waste to deal with. (Plus, it is aggravating when the cleaning sheet comes undone.) Good old can actually be the good.
As a gift idea, check out a neat little whisk bro ..read more

There are many issues to feel outrage in America and the World in 2025.
This is not easy to explain. It is controversial. Many of you will disagree, some may feel outrage.
Here goes.
I believe strongly in God. I also believe in science. In all our lives, we benefit and embrace a huge amount of science especially in technology and medicine. We believe science is real.
Whether we believe in God or not, we believe we have a soul. We also recognize that nothing in science has yet to define what or how the soul works.
The soul is God's creation.
No lawmaker is God.
