I just noticed that two of these boards exam are scheduled for the morning after the 2024 US election (With pulmonology being the following day). I will be taking Cardiology in a major city in a swing state that definitely had some degree of unrest in 2020.
Excited for a state of emergency to be declared due to rioting and taking it in 2026!

Couple of scenarios that I’d like to see what general private practice do in terms of billing.
1.) 2 siblings come in for a well check, you see both, do well check and physical exam, do you bill 99383 x 2 or just one 99383?
2.) What if kid comes in for a well check, and you see him for sick visit and prescribe abx or medication change? Do you bill for well and sick? 99383 and 99214.
The reason I ask is the private practice in rotating through only bills for one sibling for scenario A, and one time for scenario B.
Why? It seems like a lot of money missed out on.

Can you guys tell me what board review resources you used for your boards? I have done Medstudy and PREP questions earlier but am doing Boardvitals now with the PBR book. Am I in the minority?

My brother, a physician with his own clinic, codes most cases himself and sends complex ones to a biller. I developed an AI second opinion coder for him. After he submits codes to the EHR, the app reviews and suggests improvements.
I'm interested in understanding if others have experienced similar challenges with coding and billing. If anyone has faced similar issues and would like to share their experiences or try out this tool, please DM me. I'm looking for feedback to improve it. Currently it runs over Practice Fusion but I could make adjustments to it

Does anyone know how to find open NICU fellowship spots besides paying for residentswap.org?

I'm an M4 who's been tasked with presenting an AAP policy to the residents and attendings. Any particular policies that stand out as clinically relevant or compelling?

Hi! I just graduated residency and am starting my first gen peds job soon. Throughout residency, I went back and forth between fellowship vs gen peds. Was mostly considering AI bc I’ve always found it interesting. Ultimately decided gen peds since I “enjoyed everything“ and really loved the relationship with patients and families.
Not sure if I’m just nervous to start my big girl job and be on my own, but I’ve been thinking about fellowship a lot lately. Curious if others have had similar feelings.
Thanks for your input!

just wanted to see if there are any med students going to AAP who want to just meet up, attend the conference together and just hang out when there’s downtime! I am at MS3 going for a presentation, but would love to make new friends while I am here!
