Apparently, a third of all paternity tests show that the "father" is no such thing. Along with this, it is estimated 11% of all births if tested, would reveal the "father" was not actually, the father. So the question is, would you be in favor of mandatory testing for all newborns ..read more

My wife has a gentle way of nudging me on this. Eating out I will start arranging things on the table, and she will quietly move one, then another. When I take note there is that knowing smile of hers. On the other hand, my professional life was in the world of finance and accounting. Being obsessive and even compulsive in that work actually became a benefit that led to success. You see it is a very good for accounting professionals to get information reports delivered on time and to... Read more ..read more

Topic, IMO: Does the general public want to help the homeless? IMO - yes. I saw this last night. It was about 9:30 pm., went to the drug store to pick up an item and a guy was curled up by the wall on a blanket. He was pretty scruffy looking. Might have been mentally ill because he was talking to himself, but didn't seem to be high. I saw one man walk by him and say "Hi". I guess he's known there. Then after I picked up my item I went to my car, got $2 and gave it to him. As I was... Read more ..read more

Eleven years ago I adopted a 3 year old black lab, Max. He was previously owned by a young employee of the company I was with. When the young man passed away I adopted Max. Max passed away in Dec '20, and recently I have toyed with the idea of a new dog. As you know Labs shed a lot and that was the only problem Max ever presented... Read more ..read more

I am listening to lectures about the Renaissance, the Reformation, and the Rise of Nations. I am doing this because my grandmother was a teacher when teachers believed the best education is about well-rounded individual growth that brings out the best in us, and that such education is what makes a democracy strong. Truly Thomas Jefferson devoted his life and fortune to this democratic purpose and intent. That democracy cannot long exist without enlightenment; That it cannotfunction... Click to expand...
