Hello new guy to the forum. I've been looking for an answer for this for a while so hopefully someone can help me out. I have a miller 350p and want a separate feeder to set up for aluminum push pull. I used to use a xr feeder unit a previous job and was wondering if it would be compatible on the 350p. I found a older brochure number M/1.7 that states it is but with the way the plugs are I'm not sure. Any advice would be helpful thanks ..read more

OLDER MILLER 35,black face, serial #JGD62889
I bought it new in 1984, well used , not abused,
in my garage.
often when welding any thickness, it seems to not spool consistently,
in that it appears to slow down the wire speed,
I replaced drive wheels, cleaned everything, I use a wire oiler , clean and renew often.
I changed the gun from orig to tweeco, yrs back , didn't notice any issues until recently.
and. for first time since new, it popped a breaker, (in the machine)
I found when checking continuity to locate the problem,
(didn't even realize it had a circuit breaker)
haven tried to weld ..read more

I have a used Lincoln 210 MP welder that I have yet to use and was wondering why the polarity wire on the front of the machine has too small of a plug for the positive and negative sockets on the front of the machine. It looks to be factory but is too small to fit the sockets. Should there be an adaptor or something to make these connect ..read more

Hi all and thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom.
I'm building a new detached garage mainly for use as a shop space, and currently working on floor plans/electrical layout. In the past I've done mostly machining and woodworking, but would also like to add the ability to do some small-scale welding/fabrication to my toolbox. I took a MIG class some years back, but want to set up and learn TIG as the work I do tends to be more in the "functional art" realm than larger fabrication or repair work and probably as much or more aluminum than steel.
In principle, I'd like to add a smaller plasma ..read more

Hi all ,thanks in advance.
i have been around mobile welders my entire career.
i have seen this before but dont remembr whet we did.
engine started well after sitting a year under a tarp.
but then i got a few sparks from the large coils bottom front end of welder.
shut it down, the started again it ran clean, is there any way to clean between these coils. as my guess there is rust particles flaking off and shorting.
tell me if im wrong. generator power is good on all outlets.
thanks again

Just got an old lincoln weldan 150 up running. Wouldn't energize the rotor so have it feeding 12v direct from battery, makes power at outlets and will strike an arc but will barely burn a 1/16 6013 rod when on 150, have to go get my meter to check actual voltages but it surely must be able to do better than this ..read more
