HBCU alumnus and First Take star Stephen A. Smith is never one to shy away from controversy. The ESPN mainstay is known for his unapologetic takes on sports but he’s worked to establish himself as an all-around cultural critic via his iHeartMedia podcast The Stephen A. Smith Show. Smith often talks about non-sports topics, including the political news of the day. However, his political takes aren’t often met with a lot of fanfare. A perfect example is the response to his interview on Fox News’s show Hannity. Sean Hannity invited Stephen A. Smith onto the show to speak about his ..read more

On Saturday afternoon, Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns will begin their foray into the 2024 NBA postseason with Game 1 of their first round series vs the Timberwolves, in which they are favored despite being the lower seed. It was a bit of an up and down year for Phoenix, as Durant continued to put up mammoth stat lines but wasn’t able to find a ton of chemistry with co-stars Devin Booker and Bradley Beal; however, the Suns appeared to peak at the right time, winning seven of their last ten games against a gauntlet of tough opponents in order to secure their spot in the NBA postseason and av ..read more

When the Young Bucks re-debuted in AEW under a brand new gimmick, wearing suits, using their “legal” names, and just generally taking their spots as EVPs way too seriously on Tony Khan‘s weekly show, it drew one comparison above all others: the Roy siblings from HBO’s Succession. Now granted, there have been business-themed gimmicks in wrestling before, with Kiana James working on one in NXT right now and everyone from Triple H to Seth Rollins and even Kane working for The Corporation in WWE, but this particular gimmick felt more in line with what Warner Brothers Discovery was doing on HBO in ..read more

The Chicago Bulls finished up yet another mediocre season on Friday night as they lost to the Miami Heat in the NBA play-in tournament. It was a disappointing season, so it was fitting for it to end in disappointing fashion. The Bulls got out to a good start in Miami as they hit a few threes early to go up 11-6, but it was all Heat after that. After going up 11-6, the Bulls surrendered a massive run and ended up going down by 20 in the second quarter. After they went down 20, the Bulls actually di ..read more
