Liverpool has dropped 3 huge points at home to Crystal Palace. City are 2 points ahead having played an extra game than us. We win today and we go back to the top. We win today and we go three crucial points ahead of Liverpool with only 6 games to go. Every game is a cup final now for the boys and Mikel. Team News Strange decision to start Zinchenko ahead of Kiwior, because Kiwior has been doing better than Zinni and one bad game doesn’t mean we are going to hamper his confidence. If it’s purely for rotational purpose, I can live with it. Gabriel Jesus makes his way into the starting XI with R ..read more

A poor game by our standards, but nothing is lost yet

We have this habit of making our life difficult. We ended up with a score line of 2-2 when it was a home game for us, we had no injuries and everyone was fit to play, we had 60% possession, 13 shots compared to 8 from Bayern, 4 shots on target compared to Bayern’s 2 which they managed to score from. Short analysis In the 12th minute, Odegaard clipped the ball behind Bayern defence which Saka received, cut inside and scored from a magnificent strike. White missed a 1v1 with Manuel Neuer only after 4 minutes when Havertz noticed his run and sent a carefully balanced pass. That should have been a ..read more

20-16/17. Away. We lost 5-1. Home. We lost 1-5 after Koscielny picked up a red. Prior to that, we had lost 5-1 away in group stage. Bayern had been haunting us from 8 years, and we have not forgotten. The worst I am hoping for today, is a 5-0 win to the red and white. Team News We are starting our best playing XI. A back four of White, Saliba, Gabriel and Kiwior has worked well in last few games. Kiwior deserves his starting place ahead of Zinchenko and Tomiyasu. We are playing with a midfield of Odegaard, Jorginho and Rice. Thomas Partey may have been a better player with more CL experience b ..read more

Who has the easier run to the title? IT’S NOT ARSENAL!

Well, we won last night but we shouldn’t get hungover. There is a lot to do. I don’t think EtH can do any harm to Klopp and it’s a win for them. Lets break down the games all 3 teams have left to play. I’m ignoring if it’s a home or away game because at this stage, it don’t matter. All 3 title contenders have to play Tottenham and Wolves. Arsenal and Liverpool have to play Villa and Everton in common while Liverpool and City have Fulham and West Ham opponents in common. If you believe for an instance that playing against Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Luton Town is almost same, the only team ..read more

Brighton v Arsenal – Matchday blog

A quick post before the game. City beat Crystal Palace earlier today after going down 1-0 and giving us the false hope; bringing them to the second spot in the league table. We win today and we get back on top while Liverpool has to play Manchester United tomorrow at Old Trafford. There is hope we might end up top after this week’s result but for that to happen, we must beat Brighton. Team news is out, Martinelli sits on bench while Jesus takes the LW position. I think it’s more of a precaution after his injury and we have games coming in thick and fast. Jorginho gets back into the starting XI ..read more

Arsenal v Luton Town – it’s still in our hands!

Well, we didn’t get the best output from that City game. 3 points would have put us in the driver seat. Lets consider this though, City were playing with some of the best players on the planet (KDB, Haaland etc) under the best manager in the world, at home, in a set up they have built over 10 fucking years, drilled down to every minute detail. A point against them is not the best thing, but it’s not bad either. And, a draw didn’t mean we are out of the competition. Liverpool is ahead of us with a 2 point lead, there are 10 games to play and not everyone is going to win all their games. What’s ..read more

Man City v Arsenal – Fire & Blood!

We have lost 12 of our last 13 Premier League games against Man City. The only win out of those was in this very season at Home. We haven’t really playing well against them from some time now, having lost all our last 7 as visitors. And there is a chance to do the double on them since 2007-08 season. Man City are unbeaten in their last 38 games at home in all competition, last time they failed to register a win was against Brentford in 2022; their longest run without a defeat since 1919-1921. They have one of the best managers in the world, probably ‘the’ best who has assembled one of ‘the’ be ..read more

To be the best, you must beat the best…

Special thanks to Sparxs_TV for the cover pic and some more images from the Arsenal game. He runs a YouTube channel @WereTheNorthBank. What did we expect – to play Dortmund in Quarter Finals, PSG in Semis and Barcelona in finals? Nope, that’s not how you claim the Champions of Europe trophy. The ties we got is what happens to everyone else in CL. Bayern in QF, Madrid or City in Semi, and any of the Dortmund, Atletico, Barcelona, PSG in finals. I would say reaching to the finals is tougher than winning it but to be the best, you must beat the best. And it’s the same for Premier League. Liverp ..read more

Champions League Night – Arsenal v Porto

Champions League night. At Home. 1-0 deficit, so need to win at least with 2 goals. Haven’t qualified for Quarter final since 2009-10. Eliminated 9 out of 10 times in knockout stages when we had lost the first leg. Worrisome past in Champions League. And a mountain hill to climb. But… Mikel was positive in the press conference and I’m sure the team is, too. Likes of Bukayo Saka, Martinelli (injured unfortunately), Rice, Gabriel, Saliba have proven their worth in England, I’m sure they are eager to do that in Europe as well. Today’s the day. Arteta has stuck to the ‘new’ usual playing XI. Raya ..read more

The Ramsdale Show!
London is Red.

Aaron Ramsdale. Got a chance because Raya couldn’t play against his parent club as he is still on loan. In the 16th minute, Brentford earned a corner which Aaron saved comfortably. He then, took a brilliant throw to set up Leandro Trossard which he should have scored. It was basically a 1v1 but LT took a bad touch and then took too long to recover from that. In just 2 minutes from that, Declan Rice scored off an excellent cross from Ben White. 1-0 to the Arsenal, it seemed like a night for us. But nope, as we do, we missed some chances after that. In the 24th minute, you would expect Odegaard ..read more
