My brain is trying to scare me out of being lucid - self sabotage or subconscious fear?

Hi everyone! I have known about lucid dreaming for a while, and while I don't actively try to induce lucid dreams that often, I still have them on a somewhat regular basis. I have also had very frequent nightmares/stressful dreams (sometimes multiple times a night, 4-ish+ times a week) for as long as I can remember. I would say about 85% of my lucid dreams and many of my most lucid lucid dreams take place during a nightmare when I realize I'm dreaming and immediately start trying to wake myself up. Whether or not I'm actively trying to have a lucid dream, most of my nightmares transition into ..read more

Divine Perceptions

Hello. First my purpose on this forum, then my experience with lucid dreaming. I am a religious missionary. In fact a religious prophet. I am seeking people who are: intelligent, open minded, and who have an interest in firsthand spiritual experiences. The religion that I have created, known as Templism, is erudite (thus first requirement), bizarre and offensive (thus second requirement), and seemingly dry unless you are able to supply rich inner experiences yourself (thus third requirement). Templism is the product of "divine influences", certain compulsions that I feel, while writing, that ..read more

Have you heard of the book, A Course in Miracles?

Have you heard of A Course in Miracles? I picked up this book back around 2011 in Barnes and Noble bookstore on the sale rack. I opened to the bookmarked page and what I read felt like a letter that I wrote to myself a long time ago. The heading was “VII. The Dreamer of the Dream”. I brought the book home on Easter weekend. At the time I had no idea who wrote the book. Later, I found out the “author” was Jesus of Nazareth. Lately I have had a strong calling to share this book. I have a PDF copy if you are interested ..read more

Hi everyone, I'm Harmonize. I'm signing up because I got really excited after seeing the Spring competition. I think it's a bit late, and honestly I'm still trying to figure out how to use the site. But I will definitely want to sign up for the next seasonal competition as a beginner. I love community stuff and I think that would help motivate me. Some history… I have all my dreams digitally archived. I have them for every year going back to 2013. Oddly enough, right now I have exactly 1,999 dreams recorded. I know there are people who completely blow that out of the water, but I'm proud of i ..read more

Why Evolution Contradicts Materialism; also talk about Religion

What is meant by material? Scale down to the subatomic level and we find that wood and metal are of the same energy. Atoms are mostly empty space so we look at the nuclei for anything concrete about reality. But then we find that even the nuclei is made of bundles of energy, which are invisible forces pushing and pulling but we don't know what's pushing and pulling. Even physicists acknowledge that it's like a Cheshire cat grinning. Daniel Dennett once said that in order to have an explanation of consciousness we must start with unconscious elements in order to comprehend its birth. The troub ..read more

Federico Faggin's Theory of Consciousness

Here are the implications of idealism and why materialist dogma isn't viable. I also talk about religious and political propaganda as well as my personal experiences with pristine cognition which in some traditions is believed to be the ground of being (clear consciousness). I end up briefly rehashing some old material which I have discussed before with Claudio Soprano of thenonphysical channel and Dr. Michael S. Lee. I talk about scientific geniuses like Federico Faggin (the inventor of the microprocessor) and Giacomo D'Ariano (the father of quantum metrology) who currently endorse metaphysic ..read more

Why Metaphysical Idealism is True
Dream Views | Lucid Dreaming

WHY IDEALISM SHOULD BE THE DEFAULT POSITION 1. Your mind exists 2. Other minds apart from your own also exist 3. Things independently exist outside minds 4. Things outside minds can generate minds A true sceptic realises that materialism violates Occam's razor and concludes that idealism provides the simplest and most effective, metaphysical explanation of reality. Materialism, or physicalism, requires all these four statements to be true. Idealism only requires the first two to be true. As you can see, materialism requires more leaps of faith than idealism. The only statement that one can ..read more
