Hi everyone, Hope you can help. I'm wondering if anyone has come across the Microsoft Office Something Went Wrong 1001 error. We have many people remote working on terminal servers. Every so often they will get this error in office, it points to an activation issue and after doing some research, looks likes its corrupt credentials. It's easy enough to fix, you can go into the credential manager but we normally just bin the profile as its quicker. My question is, has anyone else come across this? It does seem to only happen to specific people, I'm wondering if there not logging off correctly an ..read more

Hello everyone, I am seeking help with integrating a Cambium access point with Aruba ClearPass for wireless guest access. I have searched for documentation on this topic but have been unsuccessful. I am currently working on a project that requires these two products to be integrated, with one serving as a RADIUS server and the other as a NAD device. Is it possible to integrate them, and if so, could you provide some guidance? Thank you ..read more

Dns registration of Intune devices

Hello all This has really got me stumped! I am trying to securely register intune managed devices with a DNS server so i can use their FQDN in for example a firewall ACL (all in private networks). The devices are AAD joined so are visible in Azure but not AD, the devices have network access to secure on prem networks by physical connection or VPN. They use AD DHCP when connected to the secure network so use the AD servers for DNS resolution. The users are hybrid AD AAD so exist in AD and Azure and sync is all working fine with password write back. Currently using Azure AD Connect sync tool but ..read more

Hello. When I started working here, someone had created our company's internal domain as thisbusiness.LOCAL. I added a UPN in AD Domain and Trusts a long time ago for thisbusiness.COM. Should I be able to join new workstations and servers to thisbusiness.com? (Right now, it's not finding it.)  Or make a Lookup Zone in DNS for thisbusiness.com ..read more

Meraki Guest WiFi Issues

Hi All, So we use Meraki Infrastructure and a 3rd party for our splash pages (fydelia.com) Over the last month all the guest WiFi has stopped working. Users can connect, but don't get redirected to the external splash URL. They just get No Internet errors. I've spoken to both Meraki and Fydelia and they appear to be blaming each other. Supposedly Meraki have been moving from SHARD to a HAServer environment, which they know has caused issues for some users. Fydelia did add some additional security to their splash pages, but have removed it for testing purposes. Event logs on the Meraki's s ..read more

What pushes you to the tipping point to consider new tech vendors?

Making the choice to consider new tech vendors is not one that is made lightly; rather, it’s often influenced by many factors that collectively serve as the tipping point. Deciding when it’s time to make a shift can be influenced by evolving technology, when there are big industry shifts, or when the needs of your org change. It’s not always simple to make big tech vendor shifts, so the rational to switch has to hold promise. Today we’re interested in hearing from those in the community who recall helping their org make a significant vendor change and what lead you to that tipping point. Fee ..read more

Hello, My company is consolidating operations at our new production plant which does not yet have it's own Internet service, and I need find a way to temporarily (until the new service is installed) route our existing 'net service from our old HQ to the new plant across a wireless bridge. I have a plan, but it is far more complicated than anything I've done before (and ...Ubiquiti), and I would really appreciate any feedback you may have on my potential disaster. Oh, and I'm a solo admin here, so no help if this goes badly. Backstory: Since our HQ and the new plant are only a half mile apar ..read more

Migrate from UDM Pro to USG Pro 4?

Apologies if this has already been asked; I did search before posting (also on UI community forums). I'm using a USG Pro 4 right now and considering upgrading to a UDM Pro. I know that migrating to the UDM should be easy enough but my question is about the possibility of migrating back to a USG. We have a new-in-box USG sitting on the shelf as a cold spare so that the in-use USG could be quickly replaced in the event of failure. Is moving back from a UDM to USG supported or would I need to purchase another UDM as a spare? I'm less concerned with the more advanced features (Traffic Rules, etc ..read more

Use Starlink as backup on home network

I am considering getting Starlink as a backup for my home network as my wife works at home and our current ISP has been spotty for a few weeks. I currently have a modem provided by my ISP and that is connected to a Linksys 4 port wireless router. The Linksys router will not do STP.  I think I would need a small switch that will do STP? What I am after is using my current ISP but having the Starlink as an auto path / backup if my ISP goes out.  Modem > Switch Any help or better/easier ideas appreciated.  ..read more
