Hi all !
I have been starting making soap and candles. In the process of testing recipes so far.
I do not want to use palm wax or oil, nor soy (I live in France, and would like to source my waxes and oils nearby and not overseas....)
So I have tried sunflower wax, canola wax and even olive wax. Scent is a fragrance from a reputable supplier (8%).
However, none of those tests have been fully successful.

Does anyone know if there are any shops in the Denver, CO area that carry LX candle wicks?
I am ready to give candle making a try. I have been thinking of making a variety of container type candles from various types of wax. Mainly pariffin and beeswax. Can anyone help me, my wax melts have all started to go very bizzare.
They seem to be crumbling and not drying properly when in silicon mould. Using soy max with 10% fragrance which worked fine before

Has anybody tried BW 924? It's a coconut apricot blend without paraffin. It is soy based i think. I have only seen it at Aztec aand Candles & Supplies. C&S says it cures in 18-24 hours! I just poured test candles and so far tthe CT is great. I am trying to compare it to Coco84X & Ceda Serica and would love any feedback on any of these waxes ..read more
