Hello I'm starting my first ever wearable project particularly a mask and I was looking at either deerskin or cowhide and wondered what you all would suggest I will fit around the head like a hood or cowl I will be patterning it myself which is stressful AF but oh well

I've taken to making aprons because I think they are cool. Plus I like the idea of a seasoned veteran of their craft still wearing after a lifetime of faithful service.

I picked up leather tooling as a hobby during Covid, then set it down for a couple years. Prior to Christmas I picked it up again. I created a tarot card a month ago, and then ruined it during the skiving process. I am not happy with the lettering on this one, but I’m happy with The Fool’s dress. Still having a hard time with beveling. Tips welcome!

Like the title says, I'm working on this design for a small zippered card wallet. Any critiques, comments, or suggestions on how to improve it would be greatly appreciated. Hi, all! This is my first time attempting to make anything with leather. I will have to cut out the shapes free hand and sew it together by hand. I want to make a metallic/pearl pink pig with bronze hooves and holographic silver wings.
I have a lot of questions:
What tools do I need? How do you get two perfectly matched pieces? What do you stuff the charm with to give it that soft, puffy look? What type of thread should I use to sew it together? If I wanted to put glittery edge stain to make it look more finished, what do I use and how do I apply it? Thanks!

Hey everyone. Please excuse my wonky stamping and stitching, but I was wondering some tips/tricks on how to keep the antique from dying all the leather around the stamping? I tried using a very small paint brush but as you can see, I still get that ombre kind of look.
