Branavan from Ajax: Hey John and Wai I hope you are well, my question for the month concerns the recent (as of my writing this) podcast that the VOW Flagship did where Joe Lanza details the PR efforts of WWE and how the wrestling media as well as mainstream media play a part in it. My question is what do you guys make of the pod in question and what is your POV on the issues raised? I find it deeply concerning as WWE is still embroiled in the Janel Grant lawsuit and everything that it entails and yet it feels like (emphasis on feels) that besides POST, most in Wrestling Media would rather not ..read more

Originally published at Janel Grant's team files motion to strike Vince McMahon's statement One day after Vince McMahon’s memorandum was issued, Janel Grant’s legal team filed a motion to strike over the contents of McMahon’s statement. On Tuesday, McMahon’s legal team put out a 29-page filing containing McMahon’s statement on the allegations from the suit filed by Grant in January. It contains a request to have their dispute settled in arbitration rather than court to adhere to the language of the non-disclosure agreement between the two sides, which was signed in 2022. MCU L8R FEEDBACK: X-Men '97

“Bright Eyes” brought the aftermath of the Genosha genocide and it didn’t pull its punches with the X-Men’s grief. Lenore Zann got the ball and ran with it as Rogue’s mix of grief and self-destructive rage tore through the episode including dropping Trask from a skyscraper and I hope there’s some long-term ramifications as we head into the the three-part season ender. I did grin a mile wide seeing Cap and Thunderbolt Ross (the shield even had the claw marks) as an acknowledgement of the mutants’ place in the greater Marvel U and the one-two bombshell at the tail end: Magneto is not dead and he ..read more

Don’t have a draft if it’s not going to make sense. Don’t have a brand split if you’re not going to follow it. Don’t have rankings and w/l records if you’re not going to follow them. Some things in wrestling have never been done well. Let’s see how this attempt goes ..read more

Jey Uso believes WrestleMania 40 match 'let people down'

USOs are a unique case. If you go by feedback on boards like this, you would think their singles runs have been failures. Go to an arena and watch a show in person, Jey in particular is over like fricken crazy and comes off like a star. He’s the perfect person to face Priest right now, but my concern with Priest is I’ve never seen a great Damien Priest match, so I have no faith in him and Jey to put on anything other then an ok-good match. I didn’t hate the match at mania like some, but I didn’t love it either ..read more
