I had been looking for another Goodyear welted Canadian made work boot and there are few options. I have a Canada West CSA logger that is now 5 months old. Wohlford/Dayton in British Columbia has clearing out stock so it seemed like a good time to buy. I ordered through Shop app and it came across Canada in a few days. Size 13 EEE. Price is discounted 50% ($349 CDN) which is on par with Canada West CSA.
Standard Features:
7.5 ounce full grain upper leathers for fit and durability
Goodyear welted construction for superior support, weather resistance, durability and easy resoling

Hi,
Context, I’m 6’ 00” 220lbs and broad. I have big legs, big waist and a big upper body.
There are so many great boots out there and I currently own a pair of Captains. Sometimes I wonder whether or not they are too narrow for my body type, especially given I usually wear a straight or regular cut jean. Fashion articles and videos I’ve seen in the past suggest Chelsea boots for example, only be worn my smaller built guys.
So I’m wondering, are there a style of boot that is suited for a broader built bloke?

Sorry if this is not the right place to post something like this, again, I’m new. I needed a new pair of dress shoes as well, and these caught my eye, and when I picked them up I could immediately feel that they were really good quality.
Anything I should know before I actually wear them? I have a local cobbler that sometimes I’ll take boots or cowboy boots to get shined or conditioned, sometimes resoled. I would assume I shouldn’t get these resoled as the sole seems like it needs to stay with the shoe. But is it ok to get shined/conditioned?

Hello all,
I have a couple of formal weddings coming up this year and am thinking of buying some oxfords, but I do not see myself wearing them outside of two to four events every year going forward. I know Allen Edmonds' Park Avenue are a standard yet the price seems a little high for such infrequent use. I also have some concerns about how they might hold up if I get caught in the rain and if having high arches would cause problems. Would Saunders, Orban's, or Bridlen be better options?
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Hey just looking for a little help on managing expectations for my first Indy's, purchased new about a month ago.
In wear areas, a superficial layer of the leather is flaking off. It's almost like the dye is flaking. You can get under it and peel it with a fingernail.
I've had lots of high quality footwear (Trickers, other Aldens, all sorts) but have never run into damage like this from basic wear and tear. I'm used to damage and wear blending a bit more and not being so stark.
Anyhow, from anyone with original Indy's, does this match your experience?

First time poster and new to GYW boots
I’ve just got my pair of trench boots from OSB. I got them at an absolute steal of a price (25% sale and 15% military discount).
I had my eye on either the trench or field boot for a few months and finally pulled the trigger. I had initial concerns because I have wider feet and OSB doesn’t offer wide widths. For context I am a 10.5E on the brannock and my first pair of boots were RW Blacksmiths in 10D. The length of those are good but the D width causes my small toe on each foot to rub on the welt which creates discomfort.
When I got this pair of tre ..read more
