This week's episode is all about microbes and my exploration of how my personal rice pollen allergy (Hayfever) I believe is linked to microbes inside my gut. Further to this, I explore the possibility of how to build on my microbes using the living supplement garden by growing a “grain box”. Let’s go down the rabbit hole of gut health and soil health into the world of microbes. Buying fruits and vegetables is something we do every day. What if doing the same thing could actually reverse climate change, improve your health, and help change the entire food system? If there was a device that could tell you which fruits or vegetables had the highest nutrition, then you would naturally buy them. That would incentivize farmers to move to practices that aligned with Nature to improve their produce’s nutrition density. Well, guess what, there is! Dan Kittredge of the Bionutrient Food Association talks with me today about this revolutionary new device that is already in use ..read more

It’s moving week and all things are happening. Everything is all over the place, all my plants are outside now and the house feels different. Nature makes a difference in our presence… it feels more alive and homely when there is life inside. I believe we thrive in nature because we are nature. And I don’t think people “don’t have green thumbs” it’s just an understanding… and the more we connect with nature we will start to understand more and our green thumbs will reveal themselves… I hope we connect more with nature to help our physical health and our planet's health. I am part of the Heal T ..read more

Surviving Gaia Theory
Thriving with Nature | Living a Regenerative Lifestyle

In 1979 James Lovelock published a book called Gaia. It hypothesised that planet earth was a macro-organism that regulated itself across the millions of smaller systems that made up the whole. As a whole, we, as a human race, are almost compared as a virus or disease that needs to be healed otherwise we will cause the whole thing to collapse… or at least make ourselves extinct so Gaia can get back into balance. For us to get to a better place we need to shift our mindset from listening to our Primal Brain and start to plan and follow through with our Prefrontal Cortex. In today’s episode I d ..read more

The Life and Death of Nature
Thriving with Nature | Living a Regenerative Lifestyle

Nature is beautiful and spectacular. It has serene energy - most of the time. But there is the crux or apex where Nature’s beauty all comes crashing together in the moment of life and death. For one species to survive it often has to eat or kill another. Not necessarily annihilate the entire species but just eat one here and there for it’s own survival. Life and Death must occur for the greater good of the whole ecosystem. The branches and leaves of the trees, as they die they become food for the microbes who in turn, alchemise them into nutrients for the plants around there. There is a beaut ..read more
