Why not Non-Lethal Ammo for regular Guns ?

Of course this already exists - We have all heard about rubber bullets being used for crowd control and I once owned some 38 caliber plastic bullets which I imagines were made for target shooting and have seen shotgun shells that fire a usually non-lethal projectile that still has stopping power. So instead of keeping the unarmed civilian population at the almost always disadvantage from unprovoked attack from muggers, robbers and other bad character actors from always having the advantage... Flashlight for self defense, Fact or Fiction ?

I know its come up before but since I don't see any recent posts on it, I thought I'd bring it up again. I just bought a new one of the smaller hand held super bright flashlights possibly for self defense. But the more I thought about it the less sense it made. Frist if the unknown opponent has a gun - You've just given him a target to shoot at and I also question whether any of these flashlights really blind the perp ? Here Iis a short YouTube video where the poster swears the... Flashlight for self defense, Fact or Fiction ..read more

Most commercially available pepper sprays ane now competing with heat power and length of effective rangs. But I just came acroos one of the major manufacturers now {or still} offering pepper spray with CS Military Tear Gas. Is this more effective than pepper gas alone? Will most, if any, of the commercially available pepper sprays actually stop/disable an attacker, especially an attacker who is large and/or high on drugs and very aggressive ? What are the legal consequences of use? Can the attacker say it is you who attacked him with the spray and then charge you with assault and/or sue you ..read more

1. This post is based upon a real incident that happened over a month ago in the State of Nevada, USA 2. Challenge to fitght {or duel} in the State of Nevada is illegal. 3. I'm over 75, short and classified as disabled so I have no doubt that a crime was committed, But it might not be provable {you said - he said} as the onlly witness I know of is apparently scared of the perpetrator. Someone a lot bigger, and probably healthier as I am over 75 and classified as disabled, than me, walks... Air Rifle Technique?

I had a Gamo .177 many years ago when they were just hitting the market. It was accurate for what I was doing at ten yards. I'm wanting to get another air gun (well, I have a Browning break action .22 pistol that hasn't seen the light of day in 5 years), but don't need a highend model or the $$$ for a PCP. So my question is; Is the "Artillery Hold" really 'that' necessary? It is so counter to my normal handling of a long gun. And I've read where supposedly a scope for firearms will self... Okay, I love reading about martial arts/self-defense styles and forms. I enjoy reading about how well they have worked IRL, have one compares to another, etc. I want to know y'all's opinion on different martial arts styles (karate, judo, Taekwondo, Krav Maga, etc.). Do you think they are/can be effective IRL? Also, if pitted against each other, how do they compare? Personally, I am a black belt in Taekwondo. I have trained with bo staffs and dabbled in escrima fighting, as well as a few... Styles of Martial Arts/Martial Arts Questions ..read more

I believe this is the right forum for this. My apologies if these questions have been posted before or if this is the wrong forum. 1: In the hypothetical situation that you are not able to have a lethal weapon on you for whatever reason, what would be your go-to non-lethal weapon to carry? 2: in the hypothetical situation that you worked in a location (daily, weekly, however often the case may be) where a lethal weapon was not allowed, what would be your go-to non-lethal weapon for...
