I found this YT video and it got me thinking, maybe a "truck gun" wouldn't be a bad idea, but what how could I implement such a thing if I were to do so? In Michigan and perhaps other states, my carry permit applies specifically to handguns(maybe tasers, but I've never gotten into those), so a rifle or shotgun has to be unloaded and stored in a case or sock someplace in the back. Does this mean I'd need to just keep a small case with the long gun of my... "Truck guns ..read more

I drive Uber/Lyft in a major American city. You may have seen some of the videos of drivers getting robbed, assaulted, kidnapped, killed, etc. by passengers. In the videos I've seen, it goes down with someone in the back, usually directly behind the driver, putting a gun to the driver's head and making demands from there. I've played this scenario out in my head before. I would probably have my seatbelt on driving down the road, then there is a gun to my head. The way I see it, if it came... Is your daily carry firearm adequate?

After Jack Wilson fired that threat ending head shot in the West Freeway Church or Christ, I think many who carry began to evaluate what they carried. A little 380 with a 2.75" barrel, weighing next to nothing would have left many unable to make that 15 to 16 yard shot. Jack Wilson was carrying a Sig 229 in .357 Sig. Several years ago, while we were in CA, my wife would walk around the big block encompassing our neighborhood early in the morning before he got hot. One day, she noticed the same car pass her three times. She figured out quickly he was targeting her and she turned around and went home a different way out of his view. That was the last day she did her walking route around the block. That came to mind when I saw a quick clip on an 11 year old girl who narrowly avoided a kidnapping attempt...
