Been pouring over hundreds of aquascape pics , tank pics, R2R pics and hounding my wife for ideas. She told me to quit fooling around with it because I planned on adding a lot of LPS anyway. So I just set up my stuff outside today and did as she said. I needed safe havens for fish and coral mounting areas. I think its ok, but I'm a perfection freak, what she dont know yet is if im not totally satisfied, its means we are adding another tank also. A few pics below. used my tile saw along... I built my rock structure on some cardboard and when I transferred it to the tank I noticed that it does not sit nearly as flat as it looked on the cardboard. The entire >60 pound structure is resting on what looks to be 10 or 11 points in the rock. In my many hours of videos on the topic I didn't actually see this come up. I know some people use perfected base rock but I didn't buy any and was impatient... so here we are. Is this as big of a deal as I think it is? How do I go about fixing... Read more ..read more

Hello! I want to hear your tips and experiences with attaching coral to your aquascape! I received some new coral last week and plan to start moving them onto my aquascape soon. In the past, I've had aquascapes that didn't require a lot of fuss, and the coral was easily placed on the aquascape and never budged. No glue required. Hey guys I'm new in the hobby and I've just finally finished this aquascape the I like I haven't glued it down yet since I wanted some opinions on it. How does it look? I was watching highlights of Reefpalooza Orlando and thought I saw glass spheres floating above rock attached by what looked like fishing line. Seemed to be covered in green star polyps. Anybody see these or know any info about it? I plan to build a small tank that would look amazing with 3 of these. Any info? I was given this base rock as a prize and it looks like a dish. Do I put rocks over this or just let it sit by itself? Would this be good for a clam or something else? What's your opinions ..read more
