I want to attach this arch To these two pieces of rock already in the tank So that it looks like this Suggestions on the best way to do this? The attachments points will be kind of small, so I don't have a lot of surface area to work with. I'm thinking of doing the superglue/putty/superglue method I use to attach frags, but I don't want to be sitting there holding the rock for an hour waiting for the putty to cure ..read more

Hi all, My gyres keep blowing out the middle of my sandbed only in the front. I've changed settings, power, etc. to no avail. I'm thinking about putting a rock in the middle to break this up. Would this work? Any other suggestions? Edit: the light is an issue in working on with Neptune ..read more

Looking for Feedback on Aquascape in 90g

Specifically if I have too much rock. The large formation in the center is a cave of sorts, it’s not just a pile of rocks, I’m not sure if that’s obvious. All told it’s 120lbs between the display, and there’s more in my sump (not pictured.) All in, I have 86.5 gallons of water in the whole system, and I know I’m well above the “1lb per gallon” rule of thumb, but I really want to have ledges and caves and the like for fish to hide, if so inclined. I’ve also built up higher than I have... Read more ..read more

180g DT Aquascape - Need Feedback Please

I have done probably 10 or so aquascapes now, including two 4’ 120g DTs, but never one of this size. This one is 6x2x2, so it’s the largest tank I’ve ever scaped. I usually use CaribSea Life Rock shapes but this time, I had this bright idea to use branchy rock, including some Jakarta live rock in order to make a lot of swim throughs for smaller fish. The branchy rock that I ended up getting is fairly lightweight, which also worries me so I may end up gluing/epoxying it. A full 5 gallon... Read more ..read more

Need 210 Gallon Aquascape Ideas

So I recently purchased a used 210 gallon setup and need some aquascape ideas. Since we were driving 4 hours one way, had to clean out everything in the tank before putting it back together, and had fish and rock is garbage cans of water, everything was rushed. The local reef guy helping me did this scape. All I said was I wanted caves. We were all exhausted by the time the rocks went in. That said, I now want to take this "wall" down and do something better. Since I already... Read more ..read more

Preface: this has been my experience and findings...there may be unpopular opinions here but I want to leverage this to share my challenges and what I would do differntly and how I plan to move forward.
