I had been wanting to leave PenFed behind for years now, opened a checking account with Wells Fargo whom gave me a better limit on my AC, and for the bonus.  what kind of benefits other than advertised do they give you with the premier checking tier? Customer service/ care wise, short wait times if I have to call, that's usually what I look for with my banking and don't feel like I got any of at PenFed.  I vastly prefer smaller especially local credit unions but there aren't any near me so some kind of big bank will be my option. I have an SSL with Andrews CU. I pay it from the savings account that I have with them. The loan amount goes down each month and so does the available balance in my savings. I know I'm taking from that to pay on the loan but shouldn't that money come back around to be available in the savings because it's freed up from the loan? . So looking at it from after the $3000 withdrawal, there was a balance of $559.88. I paid $43.76. That left a balance of $512.12. My PNC Business Checking Account got closed due to overdraft. It's under an LLC. Will my name be in the EWS report or will the bank only be reporting the LLC to the EWS instead?    Also would like to know if EWS will be reporting it to the ChexSystems, too? I've got another thread under the credit card forum discussing BT cards and paying down cc debts. I have learned a lot in the last few weeks and I am trying to come up with a solid/methodical plan to get us off of running around on the hamster wheel of debt. My wife and I have racked up $44k in cc debt with a $7k balance on a car. Her credit is very low 600s with $21k of the $44k debt in her name as well as the $7k car balance. Anyone here successfully open a Morgan Stanley Active Assets Account without a substantial initial investment? I know the individual groups don't make any commission of you unless you have at least $250k with them across all your accounts making it difficult some say to get attention from them if you are small fish.   If you were able to open one did you do it solely online sending the application in or did you have to make time to go to local MS office?   Wanting to open this account to get feet in the door and be able to open the Platinum cas ..read more

Saw something similar in another post... I had a $30 balance on personal loan with nothing due until February 2027 and I noticed it was gone from my accounts listing on Wednesday. The rep I spoke to said he had never seen this happen before but he checked and apparently there is some mechanism in place where they courtesy pay your loan off for you when it reaches a certain threshold.
