"I began photographing Sophia, my fiancee, in 2018. There is no setup or particular story involved when I am working with her. The pictures are of her relationship with me, with her family, with her homeland, and with herself. Her story is common, universal. This is simply a slice of the migration that takes place around the world, of those struggling to overcome their past and pursue their beliefs and passion to live a normal life.
