Lizz is out for the best reason: celebrating the day Minnesota was first blessed with her radiance and joy. Moji and Marie meanwhile have assembled a critical docket of abortion news, starting with a SCOTUS update. In our now-weekly segment addressing “sanctuary cities for the unborn” we are soliciting jingle entries from our listeners. And we have gotta say, the state that had to run a “don’t rape your daughter” billboard campaign doesn’t scream ABORTION HAVEN, but compared to it’s nearest neighbors it’s a veritable sanctuary state FOR abortion. Yikes! But what really fuels our anger this wee ..read more

Your Sleeper Cellmates Lizz, Marie and Moji, have assembled the weeks HOTTEST OF TAKES!! It took a damned documentary to shine the light on eugenics survivors from the California carceral system, Texas abortion patriots in the Rio Grande Valley stood up and shut down shut-down some ‘sanctuary city’ of Edinburg. And a federal judge JUST OWNED the misogynist and transphobic ARKANSAS lawmakers by rulling GTFOH on laws banning abortion and gender-affirming care.
WE ARE HERE TO DUNK TO AK GOV ASA HUTCHINSON. Listen up!

As we sweat our way through July, Sleeper cellmates Moji and Marie are calling out some despicable trends. Attorneys General are circle-jerking anything-that-sticks-to-the-abortion-ban as they try to litigate around Roe; clinic attacks are accelerating in violence and frequency and OSA got called out publically for their hatred. But the real (soy) meat and potatoes of this episode is to let you know about the undying dedication of the feminist underground to abortion care for all!! #ABORTIONISSAFEANDLEGAL

We really need to start waking up to better news this summer. This last week saw a cop go unpunished for protesting at an abortion clinic, while Ohio’s newly signed budget throttles providers and gives a cool six MILLION to fake clinics!!! Wake us from this nightmare. PLUS we have the amazing Ohio clinic escort Kristin Hady, who joined Lizz and co last week in Phoenix to engage with anti-abortion terrorizors from Operation Save America. She and Lizz give you a play by play of their week dealing with these racists and misogynists!!!

You get Moji and Marie again this week!!! Lizz&Co are out exposing the toxic Evangelical masculinity of Operation Save America, which has descended on Arizona this week to preach their misogynistic hate. Our bright spots are the incredible Black folks running for office all over the US to try and enact REAL change (such as teaching Critical Race Theory in the classroom). We are on team #FreeBritney and demand that she be allowed the freedom to make her own reproductive choices and remind our listeners that so many People of Color face the same type of oppression and coercion. And the For H ..read more

Description: We hope you are ready to enjoy a relaxing Juneteenth weekend while Moji and Marie DROP SOME KNOWLEDGE. North Carolina’s unconstitutional ban was stopped, but we are still nervous (and enraged) about anti abortion measures in Arkansas and Louisiana. We also watched On The Divide, a documentary that captures a snapshot of the lives of a clinic security guard, a clinic escort, and a fake clinic volunteer around a single clinic in Texas. It touched on a host of intense subjects, ranging from PTSD to domestic violence; this film was thoughtful and reflective in unexpected ways.

We were hoping this summer heat would force the misogynists indoors- instead Red Rose attackers have been busy terrorizing Ohio clinics, and there’s a march planned by a bunch of lonely incels in suits TO PROTEST A HOSPITAL. And we return yet again to Texas, with a blatantly unconstitutional “sanctuary city” depriving residents of abortion access!!! How many times can we say this- keep your rosaries/homeschools/gun arsenals/forced-birth fingers away from our uteruses.

The Cellmates wanted to rant and rant and rant about Texas’s new bullshit law that lets anyone with half a brain and an axe to grind to sue your uterus. But then the Supreme Court decided to take their super-conservative supermajority and weigh in on an unconstitutional 15-week ban, so this hydra had to switch gears. Luckily we have the litigation director for the Center For Reproductive Rights Julie Rikelman to bring her vast Mississippi lawyer-ly genius and explains why we’re not wrong to feel like this is wrong. SO FRIGGING WRONG.
Unfortunately Marie is out having a sad, but Liz ..read more

We are busy this week and so it’s another “Best of” but we promise next week a piping, hot, fresh pod right out of the oven. Mmmm so delish.
The cellmates decided this episode from March was a good ‘en because we had our fingers on the pulse on some of the most fucked up abortion bans from March of this year. You really can’t be reminded enough that Republicans are PROUD of wasting taxpayer money passing laws directly contrary to the constitution, especially now that we have a SCOTUS that has never heard of The Constitution.
Plus, thankfully folks who worked on the “film” Roe ..read more

Your Cellmates are off this week so it’s “Best of” time. We are reposting Our episode from last March to remind folks of the record of violence and harassment clinics have faced this spring on an ongoing basis. While we can thank the reproductive affirming decision in NYC to protect clinic access, North Carolina and Kentucky providers faced violent threats by anti-abortion terrorizers. We are joined by special guest Melissa Grant, CEO of carfem, who’s Nashville clinic Melissa Grant, CEO of carfem, a clinic in Nashville had to barricade folks inside as forced-birth trespassers tried to confront ..read more
