The average NBA career lasts 4.5 years, and the average age of retirement for an NBA player is in their mid-thirties, so for these players to still be playing at their age is extremely impressive, even if they aren't putting up the craziest stat-lines. As of May 20th, 2021, these are the oldest NBA players still ACTIVE on each NBA team.
Fun Fact:
The oldest NBA player in NBA history is Nat Hickey in the 1947-48 NBA season. It was his first and only season and he was already 46 years old. During that season, he would only play two games. Within those two games, he averaged:

Amongst the 1.398 BILLION people that live in China, 625 MILLION of them consider themselves basketball fans. That's TWICE the ENTIRE AMERICAN POPULATION. Of the 625 MILLION, 143 MILLION consider themselves hardcore basketball fans (i.e., regularly watch and play basketball). That's still almost 50% of the American population.
Although the American basketball fanbase is not as huge, fans have created extremely interesting nicknames (Dr. J, The Answer, The Glove, etc.), so you're bound to have fans in China create Chinese NBA nicknames.
So... Without further ado, here are the Top 10 Chinese NBA ..read more

Who was the first Chinese NBA player? I'm assuming that you probably answered Yao Ming.
I don't blame you for that answer.
I'm Chinese and an NBA fan, and I thought Yao Ming was also the first Chinese NBA player. Still, just a year before Yao Ming was drafted first overall in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets and would become an All-Star every year; a Chinese Basketball player started his NBA career just ONE YEAR before Yao Ming's, Wang ZhiZhi.
Growing up, Wang ZhiZhi was a huge Hakeem Olajuwon and Charles Barkley fan. It makes sense as Wang ZhiZhi's rugged and size-oriented playstyle ..read more

June 5th, 2008:
It was Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals. The score was 60-58; the Lakers were winning by two. Third-quarter, with six minutes and fifty-eight seconds left on the clock, Kobe Bryant drives in for the layup. Paul Pierce tries to stop Kobe but ends up getting elbowed in the head by his teammate, Kendrick Perkins.
Six minutes and fifty-one seconds left on the clock, Paul Pierce falls, grabbing his right leg. His teammates carried Pierce like a ragdoll and escorted him off the court in a wheelchair. As Pierce left the TD Garden stadium for supposedly the rest of the game and potentiall ..read more
