Thought this was interesting. Study in the journal says it can't prove the hunters(s)' consumption of CWD-infected venison caused their sporadic Creutzfeld-Jakob disease (CJD), but both did develop it and at least one died. Study: Hunters Die After Consuming CWD-Infected Venison A recent study in the journal Neurology found two hunters may have contracted the human form of Chronic Wasting Disease after eating CWD-infected deer meat www.yahoo.com Here is the study: https://www.neurology.org/doi/10.1212/WNL.0000000000204407 EDIT: Corrected death reports from study. So couple years ago dad gave me his Rem 700 270, with a Vortex Diamondback 4-12. I’ve used it & my other Vortex’s religiously & are happy with them. Long story short, a friend gifted him a BAR Safari II 7mm Rem Mag this year, but it has a cheap Tasco on top. Looking at getting him another scope for this season, trying to... Read more ..read more

I have been using a gravity feeder for several years and noticed the deer become nocturnal fairly quickly after I start filing the feeder. My question is if I programmed the feeder for an hour after sunrise and a hour before sunset would it help keep the deer feeding during legal hunting hours? The amount of corn dispensed should be limited so it would be gone before dark. Do you think the deer would associate the sound of the timer to the corn (kinda of like the cattle hearing the feed...
