As we end Financial Wellness Month within a matter of days, I would like you to consider conducting a financial wellness check on the status of your personal finances.
Honestly, money has value for the Christian just like anyone else. However, Christians must ensure to keep money in its proper perspective. Money can never truly satisfy your soul. Money is not the answer to all of your problems. More money is not the solution to everything in your life.

And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”. . .
Luke 23:34 (ESV)
They arrived at the place that they called The Skull.
In some translations, it is simply called Calvary. Yet, the name the Skull depicts a certain image of death looming in the air. It is also called Golgotha. It is also known, according to Britannica.com, as a “skull-shaped hill in ancient Jerusalem, the site of Jesus’ Crucifixion.”
They arrived at the place where He was to be crucified. Upon arrival, we’re given the name of the place. Upon arrival, we’re given the intended purpose of their arrival ..read more

“Read 500 pages every week. That’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.”
– Warren Buffet
Billionaire investor Warren Buffet said that many would not accept the challenge to read 500 pages per week. In fact, according to the previously mentioned quote by Buffet, he guaranteed that many would not read 500 pages per week.
Buffet did not say this because people lack the ability to read 500 pages per week. He said so because so many people are not willing to read 500 pages per week.

. . . Whatever he does prospers.
Psalm 1:3 (NIV)
Your Best Life is a Blessed Life
According to the very first psalm within the biblical canon of psalms in the Old Testament, living a blessed life leads to living one’s best life. The blessings that stem from living according to God’s divine principles inherently bless our entire lives.
Are you living like someone who is blessed?
Not living in the same way as the wicked and ungodly

A good name is to be more desired than great wealth. . .
Proverbs 22:1 (NASB)
Riches Don’t Amount to Enough
Money can buy you a lot of things.
In fact, money can buy you some things that allow for temporary fulfillment. Some of those things can actually be seen and termed as reaching a point very close to happiness. But the truth is that much of what is bought gives us a sensation for a fleeting moment.
Those who love money will never have enough.

But Jesus looked at them and said,
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26 (ESV)
The Word vs the World
Over the next couple of weeks, I want to dip into something that we rarely speak about and we surely do not study extensively.
Let’s look at where we place our dependence.
Let’s look at where we place our trust.
Let’s take a glimpse into where we place our faith.
Are we leaning on the ways of the world? Or, are we standing on the promises of God found in His Word?

The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
Proverbs 22:7 (ESV)
Let’s take this in and take it in slowly.
Two classes of people are mentioned here: rich and poor.
The rich are designated as rulers over the poor and also act as lenders to the poor. Part of the rich’s ability to rule over the poor stems from the rich’s ability to serve as the lender to the poor. The rich have control of the interest rates charged on what is lent to the poor. And, if the poor do not have a solid credit record or a certain credit rating, the rich determine that the risk is high enoug ..read more

And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
Matthew 6:5 (ESV)
Public prayer can get some folks confused.
Amid all of the various ways that we might hear it come out, it can come off like a laundry list of the things we need God to address. It can sound like some folks got a direct line to heaven while the rest of us seem to be on hold. Yet, as they fill the air with flowery words a ..read more

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.
2 Thessalonians 3:1 (NLT)
Prayer warriors need to be active on two primary fronts when it comes to missionary work and mobilizing the ministry on the streets and within the community. Both of these matter a lot.
Homefront
Whether sick, shut-in or something else, somebody at home can still settle in and pray for the Word to go forth. In another instance, Paul posed that people pray that the Lord open a door for the Word to ..read more
