Week six down, and on to week seven! We are over the halfway point already. Use this thread to discuss this week's rides (or last weeks). Add the hashtag #redditPZ if you would like to. Highly recommend previewing the ride graphs and adding a warm-up ride if you have the time. Ride at whatever cadence you feel comfortable at, and take the zone 1 recoveries! For Olivia's Monday ride, you can take the whole recovery in z1 if you would like (instead of going into z2). Link to join our Discord. Group Ride for the Saturday rides is at 10 AM central. (Gala-papa would like to note to start the ride ..read more

Power versus Jogging fast out of saddle

Is it truly possible to be good at both of these things? ? I’ve had my peloton bike+ for 1.5 years now and I love it! I ride 5 days per week and just set a new 30-min PR of 408 in Ally’s feel good ride this morning. I’m a strong 5’11” female and have always excelled in rides that include more climbs & power pushes. While I don’t love sprinting, I can also consistently do seated sprints at the high end of the resistance range for the full intervals. The place that I seem to really struggle is quick jogs out of the saddle, and I know I’m not alone in this. I can easily do prolonged out of s ..read more

Power Zone/FTP question

I took my FTP test for the very first time this week. I am EXTREMELY out of shape. I’ve lived a pretty sedentary life the last 5 years. Now it was HARD. I FEEL like I pushed myself to the very limit of what I could do. My output numbers are not high, but I understand that I am out of shape and obese and I am just starting out! And I’m okay with that! However, I’ve done a couple of power zone classes since and I feel like my zones are off. I have to TRY to go at a slow pace enough to stay in zone 1. I tweaked my numbers on my settings a little higher, but even still I feel like I’m in a zone a ..read more

Resistance Issue on New (refurbished) Bike

Good Morning All! I've been cycling for about 6 months now and things were going pretty well. I was deployed overseas and found Pelotons in the gym. I tried to use the same bike for each of my rides. About a month ago, I awesome wife purchased me a refurbished bike from Peloton. I've been home about a week and have done three rides on it. The resistance seems way off. I was doing 60 minute rides and now I'm struggling to do 30 minute rides. Also, my zone 1 goes from 0 to about 41. I should note that I have not yet completed an FTP on this particular bike but my last one seems to have saved to ..read more

I made the huge mistake of assuming I could download the Peloton app on any smart TV. I just bought a Samsung and when I went to look for the Peloton app, I discovered that it's not available. I'm so upset. Before I go and return this brand new TV, does anyone have a work around? I did a search and all the posts on the issue looks 3 to 5 years old. Any advice is much appreciated. submitted by /u/PearlySharks [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Am I Missing Something re: Scheduled Classes/Invites?

My best friend lives far away from me, so this year we committed to riding together 2-3 times a week. We've been choosing our class ahead of time, scheduling it for when we're going to ride, and inviting the other person to the scheduled class. What happens next is driving me crazy. When it's time to start the class, we can both see it on our schedule. Sometimes we have the blue link, which is the session link, but more often than not, the link is the red start link. If you click on the red one, it puts you in the on demand version of the class. The blue link puts you into a session where the ..read more
