Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a unique situation and could use some advice. Today, I'm scheduled to play in a doubles league match, but I'll be on my own since we can't have substitutes. I want to avoid giving the other teams an easy forfeit and would rather put up a good fight. Our team is currently in 2nd place out of 11 teams, so there's a bit of pressure to perform well. Recently I was in a tight game during rec play, and on what would have been the winner for our opponents my partner may or may not have hit the ball after the second bounce, it was hard to tell from my angle if he got the paddle under or if bounced first. The opponents said nothing either and started getting ready for the second server to serve. Suddenly the people waiting started shouting at us that my partner did a double hit and therefore the game should be over. This happened in a tournament last week. My opponent hit the ball into the net. After he struck the ball--just as his ball went into the net--a ball from an adjacent court rolled onto our court. The opponent called "hinder." Seemed like a bad call to me, as there was no hindrance at the time he hit the ball. Apologies if this topic has been talked about here to death, but I am new to the sport and am trying to get something going for my church gym. A bit of backstory, I researched good tape for gym wood flooring, bought it, set it up, and some basketball bros said they were slipping on it and decided to rip all the tape up that same week. I found out later the floor is not actually wood, it is some laminate that requires special tape. My bad. I played in a tournament recently and got silver in 4.0 doubles. The tournament said in the beginning they would not be entering the scores in DUPR which I was okay with. We played the single elimination championship game and got crushed 4-15 ?? The team we played decided to take the liberty of entering this game into DUPR which kinda irked me because no other team we played manually entered it in. Then something just clicked.
