Have folks seen this on YouTube? Is there anyone that is familiar enough to defend this tripe? 1D and 2D play isn’t even roleplaying, 3D is ok but not as good as 4D where you can’t do anything out of your character’s voice. They break games into generations, apparently only 2nd gen RPGs can be played in the superior 4D way ..read more

A poll relating to an adjacent thread. I myself don't fudge.... Almost never. But I've kind of reflexively done it very rarely. I run tens of games each year and I remember fudging once or twice in the last five years or so. When I was a youngling I did it more often and I can't remember the exact circumstances in which it has last happened, so don't ask. Votes aren't displayed publicly ..read more

Enhanced is a supplement for Twilight: 2000 4th Edition.
Enhanced provides a framework for super soldiers in the Twilight War, based on alien particles discovered in the aftermath of the Tunguska Event. From these mutagenic agents, the Americans build heroes at their secret base in Raven Rock and the Soviets build monsters which roam the forests of the Urals.
Mutagens transform our plucky PCs into the best versions of themselves. But, as ever, nothing is perfect. This is war.

(Mods feel free to move or banish if not allowed to link elsewhere):
Among some other topics, in D&D, economics in the game have always been an area of interest to me. That is not to say that it needs to be exact, but to have some logical basis to it. Also note for the (potentially sensitive) this isn't a jab at Gary.
Just what it says on the tin: campaign economics.
This thread here was a gem so to move the conversation here and see of how others view it...

Looking for ideas or inspiration for my CoC/BRP One-Shot adventure
Setting: 1980s Northern Maine forest
Characters: Hikers, not investigators of the paranormal
Opening Scene: PCs come across a murder scene - does not seem supernatural in nature
Next Step: Tension and trouble will escalate - it's CoC afterall. Regardless of what the characters choose, they will have to spend several days in the creepy forest because they are in wilderness not near any roads
Question: What would be a good...

Hi! Earlier this year, I started publishing some of the homebrew 5E subclasses I made on DMsGuild, so I'm here to advertise!
The Relic Seeker, a rogue subclass about wielding divine magic through relic with a somehow different spellcasting system: Relic Seeker . This one is available as pay what you want, so you can get an idea of what to expects about the quality and content of those subclasses.
The Circle of the Seasons, a druid subclass focused on dealing damage with elemental...

As I might have mentioned before, I'm very keen on running and playing RPG adventures that are structurally thrillers or heists, and find that the missions of cinematic clandestine operators (as contrasted with realistic intelligence officers) make a very suitable way of framing them into a campaign or of setting expectations for a shorter event. Also, I really like a lot of the game design of Victory Games' 1983 masterpiece, James Bond 007.
That said, I'm not really fond...
