I loved the way in which the writers brought Rick's loss of a hand to fruition in TOWL. It was a powerful, shocking opener to the episode (even if it was anticipated). Having Rick choose to cut off his own hand in an effort to get back to his family was more impactful than having him lose it by accident or by someone else's actions, as happened in the comics. I also think the scene is reminiscent of Merle losing his hand in season 1. One of Rick's first major actions in the apocalypse forced Merle to cut off his own hand and cauterize it to escape, and now Rick finally shares the same trauma ..read more

They always get shot.

Nick Gomez did a good job as Tomas, but I think it would have been more interesting if they would have kept him around a little longer, like Dexter from the comics.

How accurate is The Governor losing his eye and still having the ability to aim and shoot really well? Do some people just adjust really well to the loss of an eye? I remember in the comics he lost a lot of his skill and kept missing his shots.

How different would things have been if Wildfire was created and went global in 1960 instead of 2010? The global population was smaller and they weren't as reliant on global trade. On the other hand, there was the cold war. I also fear that racial tensions in countries like America would explode into violence.
