I'm sure you probably won't ever come back to this site, but your comment is pretty irresponsible. There are over 13,000 locations that service moving in the United States, and to say they are ALL irresponsible is doing a disservice to 99% of them. You should be more careful with your wording. I have been a member of this site for almost 19 years and you should do your homework before bad-mouthing an entire industry. It was the mission of this website in the first place to alert people of the bad apples. And, judging by the lack of traffic here these days, I would say that mission has been ..read more

It is not such an unusual question. A lot of people put things into storage and when they remove them or have them delivered there is damage. It all depends on whether the move was local or whether it was stored for delivery to another city. The more times household goods are handled, the greater the odds are of getting damaged. If the storage is handled by the company that picked up the shipment, and then delivered by that same company locally, chances are they were wrapped and padded and placed into portable storage containers. Most of the time they will bring the storage containers to you ..read more

I think one thing I failed to mention the last time we spoke was that the BBB is sometimes not as diligent as it should be. It takes an awful bad operation to get booted from the BBB. The BBB operates on membership dues of the companies that are accredited. There are 2 possible scenarios here. If Suburban's accreditation was revoked, did the BBB send a cease and desist letter informing Suburban that they were no longer legally entitled to use the BBB logo and/or mentioning that they were BBB accredited? I question whether the BBB monitored Suburban after the fact to make sure they were in c ..read more

Dear BigLeeCalif: Awesome! They can not advertise their business when they are not authorized by the authority (FMCSA). Facebook is also liable, since it allows the deceptive practices to happen. I also want to file complaints to FB regarding the deceptive ads by Suburban Relocation Systems. How can I do it? Thanks. Statistics: Posted by forJustice — Thu Dec 30, 2021 3:15 am ..read more

Dear BigLeeCalif : Thank you very much for your response. Your insights are very helpful. A. I moved from Pennsylvania to Florida B. I used it because it called me, gave lower estimate, and promised in-time delivery. C. They did not come to my home. They did the estimate over the phone. D. They told me that they were "Full service moving company" E. They never gave me the "Your Rights and Responsibilities" booklet. I just learnt it from your post. Thank you in advance for your help. I found that this company has a Facebook page, and that they are hawking their services. I filed a deceptive profile, which Facebook has not responded to. So I put Facebook on blast. See below. ***OPEN COMPLAINT TO FACEBOOK*** Facebook, I am publically calling you out for not doing your homework. I personally have been a moving & storage consumer advocate since 2003, and was directly involved with the moving & storage industry from 1989 - 2015. You are certainly not alone in your disdain for this company. Read these reviews on Yelp... https://www.yelp.com/biz/suburban-reloc ... 3?start=20 I also found they have a Facebook page. I will certainly be going there to put a caution out on them. They don't call me the Sheriff for nothing. https://www.facebook.com/Suburban-Reloc ... 732295181/ Statistics: Posted by BigLeeCalif — Sat Dec 18, 2021 5:12 am ..read more

I wouldn't be surprised by the insurance situation. Insurance is expensive, and it is not uncommon to let it lapse or to cancel it when the operating authority has been suspended or revoked. However, the illegal use of the BBB logo is not an issue that they will take lightly, as this company appears to be a highly unethical business. The fact is that any consumer who files a lawsuit against Suburban could also name the BBB as a defendant if they indicate it was the BBB logo that convinced them the company was legitimate. Back in the 80s there were several independent companies that rated mo ..read more
