Can anyone suggest a kickboxing club in the Sunderland/Seaham area? I'm 48 and thinking of returning to martial arts but my flexibility is pretty terrible. Would this hold me back? I live in Seaham and there is the Ironfist kickboxing club but it looks like there are mostly children there. Also seen JC kickboxing and that also looks like a mostly kids club. This probably has been discussed before, but I did a search and couldn't find this question exactly. FWIW, I come from a solid Karate' background, but I am now studying Muay Thai, which I really like, although I don't intend to compete. I do have a curious question though: In my Muay Thai classes and in some Muay Thai books I've consulted, kicking with the instep is considered a big no-no. Arguably the leading exponent of the Sanda style in the world of boxing/kickboxing. He's beaten top thai's such as thanonchai although he came up short against Lerdsila. What do you think of his Sanda Style?
