Broadcast earlier today live on NASA TV. Watching and listening to Bill Nelson’s statement from earlier today. I think I might have an idea why the two 24 hour NASA TV channels are not now on the NASA App as well as other items that have disappeared from the NASA + App as well ..read more

Seeing as New Glenn and Blue Origin haven't had much love on this board though I would post some updates. Quick bit of background, New Glenn is the follow up to sub-orbital tourist ride reusable rocket New Shepherd from Blue Origin. Blue Origin was founded by and is run by Jeff Bezos so they are pretty well funded. After a slow start New Glenn has been picking up steam the last couple of years and finally there is real progress that the public can see with a test launcher rolled out to the... Does anyone know the answer to the question in the title of this thread? I emailed NASA just after the NASA+ App launched in late 2023. I’ve also asked the same question to NASA on another website run by NASA. Supposedly NASA sat wait 14 days for a reply to anyone’s email.. Well I’m still waiting for a reply from NASA in March 2024. There has also been some similar negative comments from others about the NASA+ App, as well as some favourable. But strangely I’ve had no replies. Does anyone... Read more ..read more

Couldn’t see a thread. Looks like the lander is down but there are communication issues. It could have flipped over just like the Japanese lander. Good to hear Goonhilly in Cornwall get a mention. I did the tour some years back. Comms are up. Looks like a successful landing after all. Moon landing live: US spacecraft successfully lands on moon The private Odysseus lunar lander has successfully touched down on the dusty surface after a week-long voyage. On board is NASA tech which the agency hopes will pave the way for human missions later in the decade. news.sky.com ..read more

A camera at the Mauna Kea Observatory in Hawaii has captured an object as it burned up on re-entering Earth's atmosphere on 8 February. The Subaru-Asahi Star Camera, owned by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, recorded a time-lapse of the fireball blazing across the night sky, followed by smaller glowing streaks. It is thought it could be a Chinese satellite called Object K ..read more
