Quote:
This August, the next milestone symbiote event arrives in Al Ewing and Iban Coello’s VENOM WAR.
A master at planning out epic storylines, Ewing has been laying the foundation for VENOM WAR since the very beginning of his current run of VENOM. Limitless in scope, the series has followed Eddie Brock and his son, Dylan, on separate journeys as the symbiote heroes. But after both have terrifying glimpses of the future, they realize only one of them can be Venom. Their father and son feud will become everyone’s problem as past and pre ..read more

Every now and then someone makes a comment about what Spider-Man comics might have been like without One More Day.
But I don't know if we've ever explored that counterfactual in detail.
What do you think would have happened if Joe Quesada's plans for One More Day were vetoed by higher-ups, or something similar?
And this butterfly's wings would have further effects.
- J. Michael Straczynski would have likely stayed on the book longer. He has said he enjoyed being on a series where he didn't have a complete beginning, middle and end. He mainly left the series because he didn't want to work on ..read more

I have an issue: a friend of mine wants to get into reading Spider-Man but doesn't want to jump on to the most recent "place". Instead, he'd like to read some TPB and go through good / important storylines in a chronological order but not go too far into the past. So he'd like to avoid anything earlier than late 70's early 80's.
He'd like to read a retelling of 616 Origin, then some comics in his youth, college, etc up to now.
I know some important things like Kraven's Last Hunt, Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Man Blue (love it), etc but I don't know enough to really create the narrative he's l ..read more
