We wrap up our Tourist in Your Own state series this week with a focus on getting outdoors. Louisiana is rightfully known as sportsman’s paradise and Glamping makes a perfect complement to all of those outdoor activities. One of our favorite spots to take it all in is the Toledo Bend Area. It’s trophy lake, top-notch golf resort, and other outdoor adventures make it a great spot for Glamping. This week we continue our Glamping in your own State Series with Part III; Glamping and Festivals! Our home state has lots of festivals, over 400 a year, and visiting them can be a lot of fun. One of our tricks and tips for making festivals more fun is to bring your camper along and make it a Glamping Trick. One place we did just that was at Grand Bayou Resort in Coushatta, LA. It’s easy to overlook these “hidden gems” that might not have a slick website or an association with the major national franchises. However we’ve found that these often have great amenities, especially to help you beat the summer temps! One campground is the Cypress Lake RV Resort in Berwick, LA. Poverty Point NPSEpisode 16 Sometimes we get caught up in exploring as Glampers and we can overlook some of the jewels near our own home.
