Happy July! Once again, there are so many great storytelling events happening online as well as in the DC, MD, and VA areas. In this month’s list, there are a number of cool shows and events. Another month is upon us, spring is in full swing, and storytelling shows are growing in full abundance. There are multiple days with multiple shows. So choosing might be hard. I get to do cool things. I get to ride fire engines for a living. My high school prom was held in a German castle. I’ve been to Capitol Hill and talked to politicians. It’s not that I’m a cool person; I’m just cool by proxy. I happen to be in places where cool people are, doing cool things, and I get included. The Women’s Storytelling Festival is once again coming to Fairfax, VA, 24 – 26 Mar 2023 (https://www.bettersaidthandone.com/womens-festival/ ), and I am excited to help once again! In 2019, I did a series of blog posts highlighting storytelling workshops in the DC, MD, and VA area. If you are a beginner to a storytelling vet, taking a class or workshop is a great way to get feedback or work through tough spots in stories. I’ve been telling stories since 2014. Since then, I have taken workshops with Better Said Than Done, the Armed Services Armed Partnership (ASAP), and The Stoop Storytelling series.
