I’ve been living in Japan for two years now and whenever the cashier tells me the costs, I will say “Pass-mo de” with my American accent. Yet, half of the cashier has no clue what I’m saying and I have to show my PASMO card.
Is “Pass-mo” not the correct pronunciation?
