I'd like an opinion on whether I'm going to need serious cooling capabilities for a 13900K and (possibly) a 3080/90 . Having looked through some builds and planning out things in my head, I have come up with a thin 360mm rad and a fairly thick 280mm rad in a Lian Li Mini I'm thinking DDC Pump/Res and what is concerning me is the noise, as I'm worried about having to turn the fans and pump up somewhat. I have a 5950X on an MSI B550 Tomahawk with 4 * TeamGroup UD4-3600 16Gb sticks for a total of 64Gb. I have all BIOS settings at auto apart from the following: VSOC (1.15V) VIOD (1.05V) VCCD (1.00V) VDDP (0.95V) ProcODT (40) VDIMM (1.39V) If I set my FCLK to 1900MHz and RAM to 1867 MHZ then I can boot fine and pass an hours test with OCCT VRAM and Prime 95 Large FFT If I set the FCLK to 19000 MHz and the RAM to 1900 MHZ then OCCT passes fine but Prime95 Large FFT always fails within about... So with just XMP enabled for my Corsair LPX C16 2x16GB 3600MHz kit with the cpu set at stock everything, I beat a 5800X by a fair few points in Cinebench 2024... FWIW it said a 5800X scored 824 points and I just got 849? IIRC the 5800X is 3-6% faster in real world and was 12% more expensive when I bought it? So how is this possible?
