Hello everyone, I recently upgraded (from a 9th gen cpu) to an i9 13900ks (with thermalright bracket), z790 carbon wifi, and 32gb ddr 5 corsair vengeance rgb 7000mhz cl 34 kit (cpu is 2nd hand). Ever since then i've been getting constant crashes/bsod during booting or very shortly after booting. If i get lucky, i get 1 minute on the desktop before a bsod, but all apps crash anyway. Using it with msi pro z790-p. It's just core 2 it seems (starting from 0) so looks like i am fine for now but it's a bit worrying. Never pushed the CPU particularly much since my aircooler (AS500 plus) cannot handle much wattage anyway, i think i need to replace the cooling paste. Got a kit of G.Skill 8000 2X24 that works well with both XMP and XMP tweaked in the Asus Encore bios. Very stable and never crashes and decent speed. For some reason, no matter what timings i try to tweak, i can't really get it stable at 8200 or above, even though things posts at 8600+, but obviously not stable. What i'm asking is two things mainly. 1. What timings should i focus on if i wanted as tight 8000 as possible? I'm not trying to break any records, so tight 8000 would be very nice... Hey, I've noticed small inconsistency in how work is distributed between p-cores on my i9 13900k and i've been wondering if it's normal. Looks like most of the 'work' is done by P-core 2 and P-core 3 While the game is open looks like it spreads the workload at least a bit more equally, but still focusing on those two cores. Just because of that temps of the cores are spiking up, when all the cores run at around 40, those 2 spike up to 50-55 while in game on idle all the cores are around... i9 13900k weird CPU cores usage/temps ..read more

hi, I changed my old 5820k to an Xeon E5-1660 v3 (5960X). I tried to overclok the new cpu but it's way harder than the 5820k, my skill for overcloking is terrible. For now the Xeon is stable at 4.3 ghz, (test 3H with real-bench at 1.25V and up the voltage to 1.275 just to be sure), but i can't get 4.5 ghz, and even 4.4 ghz even at 1.3Volt(input at 1.95V). the rest of voltage are on auto. at 4.4 ghz i have freeze and blue-screen, the temperature go above 80C my configuration is MSI... can't get the xeon e5-1660 v3 to 4.5 ghz ..read more
