I am sure, there many threads over the years over these model CPU"s. But being the official
last CPU that doesn't have E-cores, or chiplets. But from alot of the bad reviews for this
platform over the last several years. And a small following that is capable of extracting much
more from these HEDT setups. Why aren't people still using 18 core 36 thread CPU's that much
anymore??
I have one, that is split between 46x-49- with very tight secondary timings, and using a 420 AIO,
with the...

I am not sure, about folks on here, but the chip is still very good, despite the lack of attention
it got. After spending much time, and fine tuning of the 18 cores from 46x to 49x, with sub
timings fine tuned, i get really good gaming, and benchmarks from this thing. Using a corsair
420 AIO push-pull, and full fans at full speed, even with R24, temps stay near 90c on package
idle around 38c.
Even with it pulling alot of watts, who cares?? no bottlenecks, or latency or parking issues,...

Before I mentioned what just happened very recently, earlier in the morning, it was working perfectly, but then later on during the day, I turned on the power, system was starting up, but it started to shut itself down, then I saw something which I have never seen before on this particular board as I own another of the same exact board for like what 3+ years now, the rgb on the left of the board, usb area and on the bottom area, it was displaying red color then it would fade away, it would...

The situation is that I'm overclocking my 12600K, I want 5.0 on performance and 4.0 on energy efficiency, experimentally calculated that about 1.30v is needed for this. But when I put all this + LLC LvL 3 (I have a motherboard MSI), then in the load voltage drops to 1.22 and 1.23, but if I put this voltage and also spinning I catch a blue screen. Explain to me how to select the voltage and what to set ..read more

Topic getting a lot of coverage but only seemed to surface with release of 14th gen RL refresh. Also affecting 13th gen chips but never heard of any cases in past couple years since release.
Lets get to bottom of this with some feedback. What are we looking at? 2, 3 or 5% of users? More than that?
Pls post your experiences with these chips and mention the CPU you own. Is it stable or not?
Also pls give feedback on conditions or causes of instability, ie, UE5 games, benchmarks, other...

I have an ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 motherboard and an i5-13600KF CPU and have just updated to the latest 3603 BIOS which enables the Intel Default by... well... default.
I have booted into Windows and loaded up Hogwarts Legacy which is running maxed out at 1440p with ray-tracing on Ultra, DLSS set to Quality and DLSS3 frame generation enabled.
My CPU was hitting 90 C during the initial shader compilation step and during this time the P-Cores never exceeded 4.9 GHz whereas...

I updated my ASUS Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 motherboard's BIOS to the latest version 3603 for the new 'failsafe' Intel Defaults profile and discovered a major issue with power draw and temperatures as discussed here: Intel Default for 13600KF - CPU is running hotter but with lower clock speeds! | guru3D Forums.
I am now using the original ASUS OC profile which gives...

I don't know how to describe the problem, but I strongly suspect the processor. I replaced all the components in my PC and still can't beat statters even in non-demanding games.
