This is my journey to losing weight. I have tried in the past but bad habits and ‘life’ gets in the way. I do keep trying but something always pops up and its about time I need to put myself first! Morning all, just joined MiniMins and posted about myself in Introductions. Anyway, I am 49 and would love to be a respectable weight before I am 50. I find I hard to follow specific weight plans or clubs so found that the WeMitt forum is the "best fit" for me here at MiniMins. I hope to just eat sensibly and get more exercise. My plan is to walk about 15k a week and swim about 100 lengths. I have said hello to a few other newbies in introductions and will have a wander around here. Did Dukan over 10 years ago but didn’t complete the cruise stage but at that time didn’t have much weight to lose. I’m now 47 staring menopause in the face and over 10st which at 5ft 1 is technically overweight. I gave up alcohol and cigarettes 6 years ago but my addiction to sugar has always felt out of control. I have read up on loads of diets over the years and tried a few. Dukan and Atkins are the only ones that stopped the sugar cravings quickly. Feels a little strange typing into the nether. But I would like to keep a little diary and maybe meet likeminded people along the way - there doesn’t seem to be any places to discuss diet anonymously on the internet these days. It’s all on Facebook where you are publicly announcing your weaknesses and fears and dare I say it… shame! I’d much rather keep myself private as FrozenFjords so I can be 100% honest and open. Did anyone see Gordon Ramsey last night in the Fenwick Arms, Lancashire.... He got the pub to transform into a traditional country pub serving good old fashioned food and the owner has started a campaign to bring back gravy!!! My husband and son are both big fans of Gordon But I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed last nights programme on TV. Hi folks, how is everyone doing? Not sure if anyone is still active in this site as haven’t been here for a looong time. I’m hoping to start a thread for support/progress with a food replacement VLCD. I did Cambridge weight plan years ago and maintained well but have had three kids since then and the weight has crept back. Hi everyone, I joined SW last week and I’ve been amazing this week weighed, measured, cooked. I made 4 recipes from the SW app and loved them all. I have averaged around 8-9 syns per day. I have never been hungry. First time in a long time I’ve managed a full week with no cheating, no unplanned lunch/dinners resulting in me eating rubbish. I never weighed myself before I went and when I went had my jeans on because that’s what I normally wear to work.
