I also posted this on the ktm group but I’m Curious if anyone has any input. Starts fine cold. Once it’s hot it will start but it’s the furthest thing from easy. I was hoping it was a tight valve but all of my valves are essentially dead middle of allotted clearance. Battery voltage is 12.8. Filter is clean  ..read more

Bike runs great and seems to have all the controls. I cant find this button in the manual am I missing something? This runs down left side of frame. Going to chase it.   Anyone know what this is? Seems the red wire was cut on purpose. Bike seems to run perfecto and I have a start and kill switch already.   ..read more

FX/FE ecu question

I have a '22 FX that I bought new last summer.  Rode it a few times in the woods and it rips...the engine pulls hard and has lots of top end.  I'm using it as a dedicated snowbike now and I put an aftermarket ECU on it.  So, my question is can I run the stock '22 FX ecu on my '24 FE?  The FE doesn't have the same amount of snort.  I'm thinking the only real differences in the motor should be in the ECU only...so I'm wondering if the FX ECU would give my FE some more snort.  Thoughts ..read more

FE501 and Tubliss

Just had my rear Tubliss fail due to a small rip at the valve stem base of the bladder on my FE501 2200 miles, 84 hours service life and 4 sets of knobs on the Tubliss No stop-leak or slime I installed everything 100-110psi on the bladder and 6-8psi on the tires I've had good luck with Tubliss gen2 and just love low pressure tires Not one issue until now I'm surprised they lasted this long I just installed new Tubliss replacements that I bought last spring 2023, just in case. I always use mousse gel instead of armor-all on the Tubliss bladder/liner and it stays put and doesn't dry out the ru ..read more

2006 Husqvarna TE250 clutch slave cylinder

Hi All, I have 2006 Husqvarna TE250 and just found the clutch slave/control/pressure cylinder has a broken lip where the circlip (or snap ring) holds in the piston. I basically need to find a replacement, but finding some conflicting info on which other bikes/models use the same part. My manual states partnumber 8000 99928, which would be for the TE-TC-SMR 250-400-450-510 from 2006 till 2008. Can anyone confirm which other years/models/brands use the same part? (hoping this should help finding a replacement) Secondarily, can anyone shine a light on what caused this? Thanks ..read more

Husky FX450 clutch scraping

I installed a clutch weight on my FX450, and after a couple of months I started hearing a squeaking noise coming from the clutch. I pulled the cover off a saw that a bolt had loosened. I put everything back together using loctite, and torqued everything to spec. Still had the same squeaking noise. Removed the weight and there is still something scraping. I don’t see any damaged bolts. It seems that it gets worse at idle and as the motor heats up.    Any ideas ..read more

FX 350 spark plug tips

So I've got a '23 FX350 with about 50hrs on it and I wanted to check out the spark plug. To my surprise this plug is a real PITA to get to and so far I've not found a way to get it out. I do have a tusk 14mm plug socket but it won't fit down in the sleeve going into the plug. For some reason my standard 14mm deep socket is missing so that's not an option either. The thing here is, I'm seeing a scenario where if a guy needed to access that plug and pull it out on the trail he'd be in real trouble. So anyhow, I'm looking for some tips on what "pro" options are available to get these out easier ..read more

Hi guys,   Just purchased a 2006 Husqvarna SMR 510 after my DRZ got stolen.   Anyways the clutch is leaking where the lever connects so it looks like i need to buy a rebuild kit (according to my much more mechanically inclined friend). Only thing is that i can't seem to find out what size i need.. 9.5 or 10.5 I've looked through the Owners manual as well as tried several different google searches but coming up with blanks...   Anyone know what size i need for an 06 SMR 510? Also...where would one get this?    Thanks ..read more

Husky shift drum install question!

I'm dying here! Im rebuilding a husky 2010 txc250 and I don't know if I'm losing my mind or not. It appears the shift drum and forks can only be installed one way, and when I install everything it functions great except it appears to be shifting in reverse order(all the way down feel like 6th gear, and click it all the way up it feels like 1st gear??)  The manual is useless, it simply says to "insert selector drum and drum forks" lol and also shows a picture of the 5speed version smh.  What am I missing? What would cause it to shift in reverse order ..read more
