Hello everyone, as our pitchers go in the circle and do their thing, a trench is made in front of the rubber. Most of the pitchers on the other teams are a bit taller so they seem not to be affected by it since they can easily stride to the front of it. Our pitchers are on the shorter end so they end up trying to avoid the trench, which absolutely impacts their technique since they kind of jump over the trench. Chardon Storm 11U 2012 is looking for a guest pitcher this weekend at the Y Town Mayhem tournament in the 12U open division. We have a #1 pitcher but are missing the others due to injury and need someone to help share the load. Three games Saturday into singe elimination on Sunday. Top of the 6th inning: Pitcher A walked the first 2 batters. Coach brings in Pitcher B and moves Pitcher A to SS. SS goes to the bench. So, in my mind the new pitcher has replaced the SS in the lineup. The SS that went to the bench is due up first the bottom of the 6th. Pitcher B gets 3 outs and we go to bottom of 6th. What do you all recommend for turfs that are comfortable for people with heel issues? I am currently wearing Boombah turfs and they kill my heels. I am not opposed to going back to cleats if there are a decent pair out there ..read more

My lefty 12u daughter often gets mixed calls on outside pitches. She has a curve so they are caught more out sometimes. Some umps give her all of them some none and she ends up walking batters more than normal. When she attempts to pull it inside she can over correct and hit batters. As a lefty she tends to veer to that side of the plate so I anticipate the mixed calls to continue. She can usually correct if she is too high or low for an umpire's zone but left to right is harder. Hello everyone, Our 8u daughter is at the literal cutoff 8/31 for USA softball age, so she'll always be the youngest player not only in her class, but softball as well. I know some leagues allow players to play down. Right on her 9th birthday she'll be aged up to 10u. At my DG TB game, USA Softball. I was watching the 3rd base coach on his phone, I assumed he was using a stats app of some kind. Then I noticed every time he would get on off his phone the first base coach would take out his phone and do some tapping and then the 3rd base coach would take out his phone look and nod.
