My 18 month old Chihuahua became seriously ill on Monday. Vomiting, poo, confusion/wobbly on feet - within an hour she was unable to stand, low heart rate, low body temperature. Hello! Brand new here but glad I found this site! I was linked with a lady a couple towns over who bred long haired chi's and I got the sweetest most loving male Chihuahua ever. I took him home when he was 8 weeks old. He was fluffy and soft like a little teddy bear. I expected his baby coat to "fall out" and change to his adult hair texture but when this happened all the fur on his head and back all went away and he has been almost bald this entire time. Does anybody here have a Chihuahua with dew class still intact? Do you ever get any problems with them? Pepi's were removed at birth by his breeder, Lillie's were removed by the vet at birth and my mum removed Bindii's by herself at birth too (she's done it for 20 years to every newborn pup she's ever had, and she has strict instructions from the vet).
