I’m trying to find quotes but it’s like every website wants your social security card just to see some pricing. It’s so stressful already with what we’re going through I just need a clear cut answer; I’m trying to move 2 bedrooms worth of boxes, probably like 18-25 2ftx2ft moving boxes, 2 couches and 2 TVs I’m looking at Tx to Ca or Tx to Fl What’s reliable and not a scam when it comes to moving companies in Ft Worth and what’s the pricing look like here to there? submitted by /u/Responsible_Escape50 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello! So I am eighteen and I am moving out of my parents house this summer. I am going to be moving in with a couple from my church for about a year or so. I haven't ever done this kind of thing before so I'm wondering, what kind of things should I bring with me? I'll already have a bed and furniture and things. They said I wont need to worry about food or laundry stuff. I know basic things like my clothes, toiltries, stuff I already uses, etc but I don't want to accidently not think of something. submitted by /u/milkshakesnicecream [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Delivery window seems long?

I'm moving from the Denver area to Chicago in July and planning a start date of July 31st. The salesman is telling me they would have a delivery window of the fourth to the 13th. But delivery would probably be on the fifth. Does that seem like a long time to anyone? I have to have my items taken from a smaller truck and loaded on to a larger. So I understand there is some coordination with that. TIA for any responses submitted by /u/Original_Employee488 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

If a mover moves a customer interstate household and beside verbally communicating valuation for the $.60/pound, there is no contract. Then the box truck ultimately gets broken into and started without the keys and stollen. And there is a claim for $275,000 worth of loss. If the customer never disclosed what was in all there boxes or any incline of value, but the mover also failed to submit a contract showing they were limiting their liability to $.60 a pound. What is the likely outcome here. I could see both parties being partly responsible. This is a real situation for one of my family frie ..read more

I'm using uship for the first time to move across states, I got many quotes but the best quote I got was from a guy who has 40 reviews with a rating of 4.75 but doesn't have USDOT or MC numbers. So how important is it to have those numbers? and can I trust a person like this? submitted by /u/DrEM-Pain [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
