I've got a 2000 Monster 750 Dark. I bought it from a kid who had been storing it over the winter and didn't start. With a new battery, drained fuel, and filled with good fuel, it turned over but didn't start. It would kick for a stroke or two with engine starter in the air intake but still wouldn't turn over. I took the carb off and did a half-ass cleaning job and put it back on. At that point it would still turn over but stopped kicking with starter in the air intake. I checked the plugs. I recently bought a lovely 2009 Multisrada 1100S which I adore. However, I loathe the oil-level window. I hated in on past bikes, and I hate it even more on this thing. Does anyone know of an aftermarket dipstick, or if this is even a viable option? What options are available to mount an iPhone in portrait orientation and not obstruct view to the speedo/display, on the Ducati supersport 950?
